Great location with a varied menu. Not expensive and the food is really good. A little slow on the servie if you go at peak times. Lots of parking places and seating inside. There is also a Garden centre next door which is worth a visit.

A friend and I visited the pub whilst visiting Cheshire. It was nice looking from the outside but rather worn round the edges once you got in. We were shown to a table and ordered from the bar. I ordered garlic mushrooms and a Wagyu burger. I found the mushrooms to be pretty tasteless if I'm honest, just simple breadcrumb... More

Thank you for this review and your opinions on the meals you ordered , we value all feedback and always look for improvement wherever possible. Perhaps next time you are in the area you may pop in for a coffee and a chat about your disappointment in person Rgds Martin More

A friendly continental pub with many choices for beers and wines. A nice atmosphere. Great customer orientation and seating outside.

The family was a group of seven. We didn't realise although it was clearly shown that we had to order the food and drink at the bar, our fault. The food was prompt and hot. Lovely decor and dining area split into little areas and alcoves. We all enjoyed it. My only negative thought is that the ladies toilets need... More

Thank you for the nice balanced review and feedback I have requested some funds for the redecoration of the building, so at least its on our radar to do, As for the ordering we can always take an order at the table if it suits you best just ask the team and we will do this Rgds Martin More

Had lunch from the light bite menu, Fish and Chips and found it to be excellent value. Good size portion and very tasty. Good service from friendly smiling staff. There was four of us in the party all having a main meal and including drinks the bill only came to £30.00, can't complain at that. Would certainly visit again.

Hello, I am pleased you experienced the " Light bite menu " is Only light on the wallet and not on size and quality. Nice comments about the team too , so thanks for the review its a pleasure to read Rgds Martin More

We visited as a group of six on a walk from nearby Alvaston Hall. We only called in for morning coffee but were impressed by the size and ambience of the pub, and its range of food and real ales. Good value and friendly service. Must return another time for a meal and drinks.

The car park was busy so a good sign or so we thought. Trouble is the bar was very busy and a 30-45 minute wait for food was the order of the day. The Guinness was undrinkable (perhaps it was the first out of the pipe) and the food was average. There was a odd whiff of drains which we... More

We always welcome balanced feedback on Trip advisor and recognise the motivation for the public to take the time and trouble to do this is possibly two fold. Firstly to help others to make an informed decision and secondly to aid the reward or improvement of goods or services offered. Naturally we are always grateful for your review but could... More

Visited Sunday evening around 20.00. Place was fairly busy. Ordered a chicken supreme meal (x2). Service on ordering was good, given that you order at the bar. Food arrived fairly quickly. Veg was as described, but slightly bland; roast/sauté potatoes were microwaved, so were cool on the outside, but volcanically hot when you bit into them. The real disaster was... More
