Very warm & relaxing local pub, Superb home cooked Sunday lunch, choice of three meats, freshly cooked veg & home cooked puddings to die for. Highly recommended, book a table to avoid disappointment!

The Sunday lunch is a traditional carvery. The food was excellent and well presented. Best choice of properly cooked vegetables I have seen on a carvery. Option of 2 or 3 courses. Home made puddings. Decent choice of wines. Great value. Staff friendly and helpful.

We have had Xmas dinner here twice and my neighbours go there for lunch regularly. The food is home cooked and is delicious. It's homely and friendly.

A good local pub with a restaurant. Play pool, bar billiards or darts with a pint or two. Use the restaurant for a lovely home cooked meal. There is also a very good carvery, make sure you book if you want the Sunday Lunch.

Have spent several xmas parties at the Black Bear. The meal is always hot and very good portion sizes. Plenty of staff who seem friendly. A great disco too. Well worth a visit for a meal or just a drink.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The meal was a carvery and it was delicious . There was a choice of meat and a very good selection of vegetables all cooked to perfection . The dessert menu was good and the lemon meringue pie was yummy! Good value. We are going back!

Stopped in just for a meal, so there weren't many people in the place, but for all that it still had a nice atmosphere. The landlord was a really pleasant geezer, and the beer was just right - obviously kept well and at exactly the right temperature. (How many meals are ruined by ice-cold Bitter. Stop it, we're not Americans!)... More

A lovely choice of 3 meats and numerous vegetables. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was very good. This is the first time I have had Sunday Lunch here and would return again.
