Booked an evening meal for 22 people at short notice. The staff rearranged the tables so we were all sat together. The service and quality of food was good and all at a very reasonable cost Have eaten in the Ethorpe on many occasions and have never had any reason to complain about staff , quality of food or cost.... Not having been here in years, due to poor food and a run down looking restaurant, things have certainly come a long way!! The Ethorpe Hotel offers a varied menu suitable for veggies and even a separate gluten free menu, in a restaurant that is clean and modern. I was surprised that the prices were not as cheap as I... Would be a 0!! Why work in customer service when you clearly don't like people? The guy with the pony tail and what I believe to be the manageress, are obviously not meant to work with people. Rude, obnoxious, unhelpful and exceptionally unfriendly! A lovely pub in a lovely village just needs a happy welcome and would be fantastic! Senior... More

We had some minor maintenance issues with the room which were fixed quickly and they did not charge us for our dinner and drinks in the pub to compensate. It was an unexpected but thoughtful gesture. We stayed... More

The service started really well although we lost our waitress mid meal she seemed to have gone to another side of the restaraunt The menus was adequate needs a bit of updating me thinks , we ate at 7.30 and some of the items were already sold out ! I had the lamb , " Meltingly tender and falling off... More

I ordered a medium-rare ribeye steak, it arrived well done, had no pink to it at all & it was very chewy! It had a lot of fat, so not very good quality at all. It was so bad I only managed a few mouthfuls, you don't get many chips either so I literally had the smallest portion size of... More
