As a previous review I stated I can now understand how two reviews of the same venue can be so different. We ate in here on the Frid night actually hoping to meet some friends. Plus to look for somewhere that appeared to look nice for our meal on the Saturday. Well we enjoyed it so much we booked there... More

Booked an evening meal for 22 people at short notice. The staff rearranged the tables so we were all sat together. The service and quality of food was good and all at a very reasonable cost Have eaten in the Ethorpe on many occasions and have never had any reason to complain about staff , quality of food or cost.... Not having been here in years, due to poor food and a run down looking restaurant, things have certainly come a long way!! The Ethorpe Hotel offers a varied menu suitable for veggies and even a separate gluten free menu, in a restaurant that is clean and modern. I was surprised that the prices were not as cheap as I... Would be a 0!! Why work in customer service when you clearly don't like people? The guy with the pony tail and what I believe to be the manageress, are obviously not meant to work with people. Rude, obnoxious, unhelpful and exceptionally unfriendly! A lovely pub in a lovely village just needs a happy welcome and would be fantastic! Senior... More

We had some minor maintenance issues with the room which were fixed quickly and they did not charge us for our dinner and drinks in the pub to compensate. It was an unexpected but thoughtful gesture. We stayed... More
