Visited the restaurant for birthday treat , they were able to accommodate a large party (10) easily and seated us where we wanted. Excellent food as always, good choices. Only bugbear they never quite seem to have enough staff, service of food took nearly an hour to appear. But we were prepared for that as it is usually the case.... More

Good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff and a relaxing, comfortable pub/restaurant. We will definitely visit again for lunch or an evening meal.

Myself and my family, a party of 9 had a meal together in the restaurant on the 10th of November. The night kicked off with one of our party getting asked for ID. She didn't have it with her and even though we could prove her age, the staff weren't having any of it. This over with the waitress we... More

Had a one night stay in the Tudor room. Very spacious with the added bonus of a jaccuzie. Nice room with a kingsize four poster bed which was extremely comfortable. Nice quiet room with complimentary tea & coffee. Very clean.

My friend and I decided to give the Ethorpe a go to avoid the trick or treaters. We found it hard to find the car park entrance as it is not well signposted well in the dark but found a space easily and short walk from the door. The vast menu meant it was hard for us to decide and... More

I have been here twice recently and both times they have shortages on their menu. I rang to check they still did Sunday roasts early on Sunday evening. They said yes but late Sunday evening maybe they will be short. We booked for 6.30 and no roasts were left and many items on the menu had run out. It was... More

Used to drink here back when we were aloud to get drunk together, all the kids from school where there... this time may be 20 of us, emulated the feel of the good old days. . . was hard drinking, but we did a priddy darn good job ya.
