Amazing food ( especially the burgers and chips) I had a takeaway steak burger with chips tonight and it was hands down the best steak burger I have ever had! Lovely village pub. Always 10/10 from us👍🏼

The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff were exceptional, service with a smile. There was a wide range of diners, couples families and all seemed to be catered for without any issue. Would highly recommend and will return again...in the near future.More

We visited last Friday for pop up pie night. The place was warm, there was a buzz with being busy and the food was incredible. Hot, fresh, tasty and for being ‘pop up’ plenty of choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. However, it felt service...was very understaffed. We were served both courses before cutlery arrived and we had to order pudding at the same time as mains - strange! As for the chap that strolled round with a tea towel over his shoulder in T-shirt and shorts, we only realised he was staff when he went behind the bar - the outfit wasn’t professional or appropriate! You’re a local, village pub not a beach shack. Unsure if we’ll returnMore

The country-pub decor is fine, albeit it suggests standard pub grub. Don’t be fooled. The food in this place is superb. Every one of our group made happy noises as they ate. The food is beautifully presented on matt ceramic ware. You just cannot find...better food anywhere within reasonable driving-distance. Small points for improvement: could do with a more exciting bitter assortment; and the rhubarb and strawberry sorbet was too hard.More
