We were showed to a table and then ignored. No menues provided, nothing happened. We eventually got up and left. They seemed oblivious to us.

We googled somewhere we could have breakfast and we found this place. It was very busy which makes you think that's a good start..... Then we met the staff and what a great team who made you very welcome/had smiles on their faces/very professional and a credit to the owner. The owner was fantastic too! Then the food arrived and... Great food, with a distinctly South African theme. We had lunch here, and enjoyed the brilliant home-cooked food and cake! Great house wine too. Will definitely be going again soon.

Dined at The Cape with my wife last night. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, great food. If was the first time I'd eaten ostrich - the way it was prepared looked stunning but more importantly tasted amazing. Really lean and on their recommendation cooked rare. Checkout the cheesecake with the peanut butter ice cream for desert.

The Cape is an busy, buzzing cafe during the day serving delicious snacks, light meals and cakes as well as locally sourced healthier options but on Friday and Saturday evenings the same premises turn into an intimate, chic restaurant serving THE finest food with an excellent wine list. The owner is there working and genuinely cares that you are happy... More

Came here for breakfast with some friends before getting the train down to Wembley for football. On the plus side, the food was good - fresh, quality ingredients well cooked (the bacon and South African sausage were particularly tasty) and there was a nice selection of tea. Negatives included a 20-30 minute wait for the breakfast to arrive, no tomatoes... More

On other occasions we have had full lunches (rather good) but on this occasion we had: Double expresso: £2.30 English Tea: 2.75 Two cookies (one dark chocolate, one white chocolate) 3.50 Total: 8.55 The expresso I am informed was good but the... After reading a few trip advisors i decided to take my boyfriend for a surprise birthday breakfast on a Saturday. We ordered the big 5, tea and latte, with a side of potato roost. I must say after eating at the usual breakfast places, Bills, Fegos and Jungs this was by far the best breakfast ive eaten. Chargrilled bacon and... More

This place is a real gem. Its Friday and Saturday evening dinner menu is strikingly original and the food quite splendid. It is clear that a lot of trouble is taken over its preparation and presentation and the service is warm and friendly. Always excellent for its coffee and lunches The Cape has excelled itself with the new dinner menu:... More
