ASK in Amersham has a very pleasant dining room (the further back the better to see the high ceiling of the old building) and welcoming professional staff. The menu is Italian of course, very well presented and cooked. Two people eating two meals sampled mussels and fried mushroom starters, pasta, Caesar Salad, pizzas, side salad and ice cream. And wine.... More

Nice atmosphere and decor Italian chain restaurant that serves up a good variety of reliable, value for money dishes. This particular restaurant also benefits from very polite and professional staff from Hungary (the guys could/should be the managers). I chose the calzone pollo, which was deliciously satisfying and nicely presented on a kind of stone platter, with the added benefit... More

Our waiter was really helpful and very pleasant and attentive. The wait for our dough-balls was extremely long at the beginning of the evening but then the rest of our food came very quickly and overall we had a good meal. The atmosphere is very lacking though and I don't like the decor - unfriendly, cold and canteen-like.

We arrived at 8pm and were seated promptly. We then waited half an hour for anyone to come to our table to offer us a drink. By 8.45pm we had ordered our meal (although there was a bit of confusion whether we could have the Christmas specials, it was soon rectified) and our starter came about 9.15, a whole hour... More

Eating early not much atmosphere but very comfortable feeling to the restaurant. Service attentive, food very acceptable however drink prices excessive which is a shame as will hesitate before returning, we do like a tipple1.

First visit to Ask after many years. Amersham Ask has a delightful atmosphere.....But i felt the menu was not as inviting for a our two young ladies that we took. Their choices we not so great. Our starter to share for 2 was beautifully presented and very good, but my main course meatball pasta felt like a starter dish and slightly... More

I don't like chains but do frequent Ask from time to time in another town as it is close to my work. I thought I'd take a punt at Ask in Amersham as it is situated in a lovely period building in a prime position on the high street. The visit was a farce from start to finish - ordered... More

We had a fantastic meal for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Erica the manager was very attentive to everything we needed. This was very helpful as we were a group of 19 with quite a few children. The food came quickly, the waiting staff were friendly and being able to use upstairs was fantastic as it effectively gave us our own... More

Went there with some friends and we were served by the truly excellent and amazing Patrick. We had way too much beer and wine but he was a true superstar all night. I ordered a spicy calzone and, honestly, when i had about two mouthfuls left, i realised it was the wrong one. So i raised this with Patrick and... More

Description
The quaint Buckinghamshire town of Amersham plays host to the excellent ASK Italian restaurant, situated in a charming building along the cobbled streets of the town centre. This ASK Italian restaurant has recently gone through an extensive refurbishment. We've created a restaurant with a distinctive new look inspired by modern Italian design. And with the help of our expert friends, including awarding-winning chef Theo Randall, we've created a menu that features a range of simple, classic Italian food and an all Italian wine list.
