Came here for a family Sunday lunch. At £22 for 2 courses/ £29 for three, it's a fair price. Pleasant staff, inspiring menu: I had the hake fishcake with horseradish and dill, the risotto (with goat's cheese, apple, walnuts) and finished off with the chocolate...More

Great welcome and a pleasant table. The menu is not huge, but contains lovely sounding choices. Lovely tastes and deliciously flavorful. Really enjoyed dinner and recommend the restaurant. But you do need to book in advance.

Two adults and one teen had a lovely meal here. Arriving at 8.00 on a hot evening meant some people had chosen to dine outside so inside it was really quiet with plenty of space between different groups/tables. The menu was small but I always...More

A dear friend hosted a lovely birthday lunch yesterday (Saturday) at Gilbey's. It was great! I had the salmon and the hung steak. Really good. Great atmosphere upstairs. 10 in the party...everyone was very happy. Plus...air conditioning. Wonderful!

The menu was very limited - I struggled to find a dish I looked forward to - and some of the portions and the dessert were inadequate. The food was tasty enough but we won't be rushing back. We have had excellent meals "upstairs" and...More

I've been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. The service is first class at the same time being relaxed and unobtrusive. Lunches are great value for money and the wines are well chosen. The food is very good and well cooked....More

If you use their website (which I can't give you here as not allowed) but if you google Gilbeys Old Amersham you will find it. And then you can book on line. Always popular and strongly suggest booking
