Called in for a drink on a very warm day. Place was packed with a large funeral party so we were lucky to get a seat. Bar quaint , staff lovely. Location is lovely.

Shame ,as this pub used to be delightful But £55 for three drinks( one a flat beer ) and one starter plus two mains is not value for money here.food was average at best.it has a unique location but in our opinion needs a big overhaul. The service was pleasant though.

Booked a lunch with friends, as had heard good comments from several people. Great choice, lovely location, friendly staff and excellent quality food, really well presented, and great tasting. Reasonably priced wine. Would really recommend the liver and the sea bass. Will certainly go back.

I love this place for both a summer meal or a winter meal. I wouldn't pop here specifically just for a beer as I think the choice is limited! From memory the beers are from the ' Badger' brewery. What's more, I've always felt the beer is expensive here. The whole ambience and feel of the place is wonderful. Coming... More

We live close by, but I haven't been for several years. Great welcome by all the staff, great food (duck and lamb shank). Very reasonably priced wine. Lovely setting.

We had a superb lumch today in this lovely child and dog-friendly garden. Extensive menu catering for all. My daughter-in-law is vegetarian but does eat fish. Haddock cooked to perfection as was my son's roast pork with all the trimmings (yum!) My white crab prawn and smoked salmon salad looked a picture and was delicious. Couldn't resist the strawberry cheesecake... More

21 adults enjoyed an early evening meal which we had pre ordered. The food was delicious, the portions were generous and the service was friendly and efficient. We were provided with a private area of the pub. A wide choice of meals were ordered and the staff coped well in serving them promptly. We will return.
