I had a lovely evening out with my friends, it was a nice wind down after a long day of work. I had the ribeye steak with a glass of wine which complimented each other very nicely. The waitress which served us (Chloe) was very friendly, and made sure everything was okay! Would definitely recommend!

We have visited the Pomeroy Inn several times before and usually had a good dining experience. When we arrived this time our first impressions were that it had been rebranded, significantly enlarged with the addition of a large conservatory, had been refurbished, was more spacious and more comfortable. The menu was also much larger than before. By signing up to... More

From the outside The Pomeroy Inn looks really inviting which is why we called in for a bite to eat following a Red Letter Day driving experience at nearby Bovingdon. The welcome was fine and we ordered drinks along with a chicken, bacon and avocado salad and the soup of the day which was carrot and cumin. We then waited... More

Had lunch at the Pomeroy Inn with 4 mates, and I can only say when I'm in Amersham next , I'll certainly visit this place again. Really good atmosphere , great food at reasonable prices (less than £20 pp inc drinks) and very friendly staff Let's not forget ample parking too!

This is walking distance from where I live, I'd driven past a number of times and the exterior has plenty of curb appeal, the interior is as impressive as the exterior, if not more so! Sadly, that's the good stuff, now to the things that led to me only giving 2 stars. - The draft beers that I wanted (Sierra... More

The Pomeroy was a favourite of ours a couple of years ago, but sadly went downhill to the point where we actively avoided it. However seeing it had been re-furbed, new management, and some very positive reviews we decided to return - and SO glad we did. The first thing that struck us was the level of service - a... More

Wasn't sure about the restaurant based on the reviews but was really happy we gave it a try. The staff were polite and quick. The food was amazing and a great atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

I have lived in Amersham for more than 30years and have always thought the premises has deserved a proper pub restaurant. However its many incarnations over the years have always failed to deliver for a variety of reasons, and I have never bothered to go for more than a very very occasional pint. The new incarnation seems to have finally... More

We've read mixed reviews of this recently revamped pub/restaurant, so decided to meet friends for an early evening drink to suss it out. Pleasantly surprised by the interior which is contemporary whilst retaining the character of the building (it's part of the M&B chain). Good welcome from the staff, nice atmosphere, open fire, comfortable seating in the bar area. Not... More

Hello Andrew Lovely to see your great review of the Pomeroy. The new refurbishment and particularly the comfortable furniture have been received very well since we reopened in April. We hope you will come to try us at weekends as well! You would be advised to reserve a table as we are usually very busy, but the atmosphere is great.... More

I met my friend for lunch last week & both decided on the Butternut Squash soup £4.95 & the scallops (starter portion) £10.50. Soup was pleasant enough but we were very disappointed with the scallops - 3! Placed at triangle points - they looked pathetic. we complained to the waitress & all we were told was that's the portion size.... More

Hello Debsey Sorry to see you weren't impressed with our scallops appetiser dias when you visited. The scallops are one of our most popular starters as we serve them many different ways. Portion size has never been an issue before, but perhaps you prefer something more filling - the Portobello Mushrooms; Baked Brie or our new crispy duck wings maybe... More
