Toby's is a fun relaxing place to eat! Because of Xcalak being so small the main options for dinning are at your hotel or venturing to another hotels restaurant. I always felt like I need to shower and change before I ate when I dined at our hotel. Toby's is a place where you can go after having spent all... More

Toby's is an expat/tourist restaurant with a local's feel. The front wall of the restaurant is open to the air, and across the street is a sand volleyball field which allows the restaurant a nice beach view. Opening times for Toby's is unmarked, we arrived at 11:30am and asked if they were open and was told yes. At noon they... More

I love this place. Toby is fantastic. The food is good. Toby will go out of your way for anything. He even went and purchased me wine! During football season he's closed on Sunday, but opens up for us Gringos and we can watch the games in English. I absolutely recommend to everyone! Such a great place. And don't forget... More

We have been here in November. Season just started and we were the only guest one night. And the owner invited us to the opening a few days later. Nice service, good food. It is nothing luxurious but offers all you need and a cold beer.

We did not eat here, but a friend of ours did and liked it. He said the hamburger was one of the best he had eaten in Mexico. We never had a chance to eat here, but did check it out when we drove by on the main road in Xcalak. We were sorry we did not have a chance to... More

if you are in or near Xcalak, mx - stop by Toby's , it is clean and everything is prepared fresh, so be ready to wait a few. We had coconut lion fish, excellent and a fresh fish sandwich . One of the best fish sandwiches, I have ever had. Don't expect high end decor, but do expect high quality... More

We stopped in with some friends we are traveling with and were very pleasantly surprised. Not fancy by any stretch, but the food is amazing. We shared the coconut shrimp and lion fish and it was the best coconut anything I have ever had. I don't usually like fried food. The red snapper was delicious and really red snapper, not... More

Fish fingers were very good as were the chicken fingers. Good guacamole and chips. It's a local town in a town of 500 people. All we had were beers and appetizers, but I hear it's a local favorite!

We spent a delightful evening watching the Super Bowl game at Toby's Restaurant. Great fun was had by all as we eat, drank, and cheered throughout the game. We eat nothing fancy but hamburgers and fajita's were both were done well, were very tasty, and added to the whole experience. A great place to be when they are hosting a... More
