We were the only table when we came for dinner and yet waited 75 minutes for food that never came. In the meantime two other tables had been occupied and they got their food before us. The waiter just kept repeating that he...is sorry and the food is almost there. Eventually we went to another place nearby where both food and service was great. Don’t bother going to avoid dissatisfactionMore
Uh, $10 dollars for a bowl of soup? We stopped seriously thinking about eating there at that point.
Yes, it is next to a major tourist place, but they do not have to have to charge major rip off tourist prices?
We drank our overpriced...beers and left.
So there we were out in the middle of the jungle staying at the lovely Lodge at Uxmal and we had dinner at the restaurant under a large palapa there. Expectations for a buffet aren't high. But guess what? This place was GREAT! We were...pleasantly surprised by the amazing food they had at their buffet - mostly Mayan dishes. Excellent Chicken Pibil, tasty empanadas, fresh tortillas, and much, much more. Eat there - don't miss it!More
The restaurant is in a palapa, but the facilities are modern. Yes, there is Mayan food - my husband loved the chicken and lime soup and liked it so much that he tried it at the next 4 or 5 restaurants he visited in other...cities in the Yucatan. I am vegetarian & in addition to what was on the menu they were willing to adjust to meet my needs. Fantastico!More
The atmosphere at the restaurant is great and the staff is very friendly but the prices are quite high when compared to what I normally pay in Mérida. However, I asked for more vegetarian dishes, they gave me some choices and I paid about US$...12 for food and juice.More

We had dinner there and found it quite enjoyable. It was a buffet dinner and what was quite a treat was that they had actual REAL Yucatecan food. The price was pretty average for a nice place. I would recommend it!
