We weren't going to stop here. I am not a fan of people trying to convince me to come into their store or restaurant, but the hot cakes looked and smelled really good... So glad we stopped. We had no problems with service, menus, prices,...or food. Perhaps it's because I asked for the Spanish menu, told them I was paying in pesos and staying with friends in the casita's....I don't know. But, they were amazing! Juan was our server and frankly became our friend. We ended up spending over two hours relaxing, watching the people, and talking. Juan has an extraordinary amount of energy and definitely added to our entertainment of people watching. Food was good. It wasn't the best we had in Mexico, but it was good. Prices were perfect, if you are paying in pesos and using the Spanish menu. The prices are definitely higher if you are using the English, USD menu.More

Easily 5 stars. Recommended by mayahuan golf carts. Pleasant, across from beach, plenty of ambience. Great food, reasonable prices!

Was recommended to stop here after renting our golf cart for the day. Parking was easy and wide open, especially since we were the first ones to arrive. Decided to sit upstairs, where we encountered a very nice breezy and that kept us cool. Ordered...chips & salsa and Guac and chips along with water/beer/soda/margaritas. The beers, Corona, were teeny tiny, and they tried to charge us $6/beer, but were able to get them down to $2 each. We ordered food a little later and we all had platters -- Octopus, Steak fajitas, Fish fingers, tacos and I had a delicious mixed seafood ceviche and some seafood soup, which was chocked full of seafood. Either one of those things would have been filling enough, but both put me over the edge and I felt soooo full learning. We had the ability to sit on the beach with chairs and umbrellas, but chose to stay up top where it was cool and where we had a beautiful view. We were able to connect to their local WiFi. All in all, it was a nice place to visit and they weren't pushy like some of the other bars we drove by. Highly recommend a visit here when you are in Costa Maya.More

BEWARE THE MAYA BAR!! My family and I got off the taxi tram where a gentleman greeted us and offered beach access, chairs, umbrellas, bathrooms, showers and either a margarita or shot of tequila for $10 per person. My husband thought that sounded great, so...we paid the man. We were taken to the Maya Bar and received an "All Inclusive" wristband. As we walked over I asked if we could have bottled water our coke since we didn't drink. We were told that was fine. We were directed to a horrifyingly filled beach with seaweed in 80% of the water. The water was only ankle deep. We soon realized a kelp processing machine was right next to the rocky beach. The chairs were broken and my husband fell through one. The umbrella flew away and hit another guest. We were brought one water, when I asked for a second, a different man said the charge would be added to our tab. I said we didn't want the alcohol and were told we could get water. The waiter said he would have to twll the manager and get approval. At this point in time, I was over it and we left getting scammed out of $20. DO NOT GO/PAY FOR ANYTHING AT THE MAYA BAR!More

Hung out here on my recent cruise stop in Costa Maya. The staff is fantastic, fun, and show they love their work. The drink prices are probably the best in the area.

Wonderful food and drinks! Great service and prices. Don’t leave without trying the Ceviche! It’s my favorite on the beach. Also if you get Ivan as a server, I promise you will be laughing the entire time! He was fantastic!

Rented a golf cart from the outside the port terminal and drive down here for the afternoon. Found this great spot with some great ceviche and buckets of Corona for 10 bucks. Can’t wait to go back.

AVOID. Asked for 2 Tulum beers (40Mex next door). Got charged 80Mex each. One of them expired in October (2 months ago), the other one in Jan 2019. They were both oxidised. Dreadful rip-off.
