My family and I booked this the day before our cruise and were fortunate they had enough room the the 8 of us. We arrived at the Costa Maya port and grabbed 2 taxis ($8usd per) which took us straight to the drop off for Jaime’s. We were met by Jaime at the entrance to his restaurant and he took us down to the first row of beach chairs where he had 8 chairs reserved for us and then informed us of what was safe to purchase and what not to purchase from various area vendors. A waitress came down and took our order for drinks, which took a few minutes to get, but the margaritas were excellent! After that we didn’t have many issues getting any drinks or food. They brought a few platters and any requests we had were fulfilled. The food was just as good as the margaritas and the view was amazing. There was a couple guys playing some music at the restaurant which we could hear clearly on the beach. Once we were done for the day we gathered our belongings and headed to the cashier to pay ($50/person, well worth it) and was charged in pesos. Not thinking too much about it, our total was in between 2 larger groups and I was charged for their rate. I realized this once I got back to the ship and was able to do the conversion and sent Jaime an email. I received an email almost instantly informing me I was overcharged my mistake and by the time the cashier got to the taxi pick up we were gone and was issued a refund at that time. Jaime and his staff are great, the food and drinks were delicious and the views and water were outstanding. I recommend Jaime’s at the Blue Reef based on our experience and their hospitality.

Honestly, what a great find this gem of a place turned out to be. Well staffed, ample space provided to their limited 40, comfy chaise lounge chairs under Pallas and most of all a beautiful beach. Unlimited Drinks and food included which were excellent!!! All of this plus the amazing welcoming setting for $50 US for the day. What a way to relax!!!
We took a small cab ride to the beach resort from the Costa Maya port. We immediately met Manelle upon arrival and she captured our attention with her humour and fun from the getgo. She escorted us all to our chairs with our names and a welcome tag and took our drink orders. She introduced us to our assigned waiter for the day, Jose who made sure our drinks were never empty.. the food platter they brought out had, quesadillas, tacos, fish fingers, onion rings, fries, ceviche just a sampler of almost everything on their menu.
The staff knew that a couple of us were celebrating birthdays and unknown to us they brought out shooters for us and before we left for the day they brought out warm tortillas with a sweet topping and sang Happy Birthday. They really went above and beyond to make our day the absolute best.
Thanks to Jaime’s Blue Reef for offering a day pass option which provided us an opportunity to be a part of your beautiful resort for the day and meet your excellent staff. We will visit again!

We booked the all-inclusive day pass while on the Symphony of the Seas sailing last week (2/18/2020). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jose who took wonderful care of us all day!! He showed us to the beach, asked us if we wanted sun or shade and let us choose our spot for the day. He immediately offered us a drink and made us feel so welcome. He and his assistant constantly checked on us. We were never lacking for a drink or food and everything we had was very good!! About an hour after arriving, Jaime himself came by our chairs to welcome us and see if everything was ok. We thoroughly enjoyed our day there. We've booked Allure of the Seas for next February and Jaime's at the Blue Reef will be my go-to from now on when visiting Costa Maya.

This was our third visit to Jaime's Blue Reef. We love it and always look for cruise stops that include Costa Maya. The wait staff makes you feel like family and keep the food and drinks flowing. Speaking of food, it is amazing especially the guacamole and warm chips ! The beach side massages are so relaxing. Going out into the cool clear water to cool off is perfect. We tell all our friends this is the place to go when at this stop. Don't forget to make a reservation he only allows so many but it is well worth it. We will be back again!!

We went here directly from the cruise ship. They only require you to buy drinks and food from them if you want to use their chairs. The drinks and food were inexpensive compared to the port. The wait staff was superb. Manel was extremely friendly and attentive. Once you re ready to head back to the ship, they get a cab for you. Jaime's will definitely be our "go to" when in Costa Maya. we even did some snorkeling off the beach.

My husband and I spent our shore day in Costa Maya with the staff at Jaime's. It was a last minute changeby our cruise line itinerary, but they thankfully had room for us. I appreciate that they have a cheaper all-inclusive price for those of us who do not drink alcohol!
Food was excellent - we had a fish taco, chicken fajitas, and chicken nachos. The mocktails we had were tasty and they happily kept us hydrated with bottled water.
The water stays clear of seaweed thanks to the fence area, which I appreciated. The beach club next door does not have a fence and they had a huge mess of red seagrass on the shoreline.
Juan and the whole staff were super friendly, quick to help and attentive to our needs. The food did take a little while once we ordered, but it was peak lunch time and they were busy.
I regret that we did not realize there was a rooftop pool and views to experience, so we will have to come again to check that out.

My cruise made a stop at Costa Maya. I had read the reviews here, so I contacted Jaime from the address in their web page, made a reservation for the all inclusive deal and paid $35 through paypal. They were expecting us when we arrived, offer us drinks; the michelada, margaritas and rum punch were delicious, and the food was amazing; the french fries are home made, the ceviche fried fish and sea food tacos as fresh as you can find. The staff Juan, Digby, Alexandra and the rest of the gang made our day extremely relaxing and memorable. Avoid the crowds from the other spots and spent the port day here you wont regret it.
Tips: there is a shower by the rooftop pool.

This place was recommended over and over on social media so we gave it a shot. It was totally worth it, we stayed all day! It’s just a short ride 10 minute ride from the cruise port. Alejandra makes amazing margaritas with real fresh fruit. The Jamaica (hibiscus) was my personal favorite though. The food comes in perfect snack sizes so you can try multiple things. I was surprised how clean the beach was of seaweed and the chairs/activities offered were just great for a relaxing beach day. Our waiters were Digby and Rodrigo and they honestly went above and beyond. It was raining on and off in the morning so they were constantly running back and fourth trying to keep things dry and comfortable for everyone. Their service was always quick and helpful. There were many many locals selling items on the beach which can get annoying but you will run into that anywhere you go. They also offer massages that were well worth the low price.
This is our go-to place from now on.

We found Jamie's at the blue reef here on Trip Advisor and were so glad we listened... We took an easy cab ride from the cruise terminal ($4/person) and were dropped off at a great spot on the beach. Rodrigo immediately greeted us and took orders immediately. Their all inclusive package for the day was well worth it! Reserved beach chairs with cushions, shade, excellent food selection (i loved the fish tacos) and any drink you could want. Another group with our party did an resort day excursion through the cruise and left within an hour as they were packed in without the private service we were getting (at half the price!). Digby and Rodrigo were just awesome, always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Come hang out at Jamie's if you're in Costa Maya!

We spent the day (cruise port of call) in Costa Maya at Jamie's and had an amazing time!
I contacted Jamie's at the Blue Reef via email and their response was quick. They gave clear direction and it was easy getting there. When we arrived they were waiting for us, we had a reserved section all set up. They provided us all a "welcome" beverage and the great hospitality continued steady the entire visit. Everyone at Jamie's is attentive and made sure you had whatever you wanted....and then some! The day of our visit happened to be my son's 23rd birthday and Jamie's surprised us all with some special celebratory drinks as well as a dessert for the birthday boy-candle and birthday song included!! The food was great. We had a large tray with a little of everything and it ALL was terrific. The staff, well nothing short of top notch. They somehow manage to make you feel as though you are their only customers. When it was time for us to leave, they called for and walked us to our transportation. We said our "goodbyes" to our new friends as though they were family. It was a great day and many memories were made. We will surely return to Jamie's at the Blue Reef when we are back in Costa Maya. No doubt about it!!

Excellent service! Thank you so much Digby, Jr., Chucho and our wonderful bartender Ale. Yall are awesome! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The beach area is small and quaint with max capacity control. The drinks were plentiful (Digby's bloody mary was one of the best I've ever had)! Digby even talked to our cab driver to make a pit spot at a local market so we could buy the ingredients they used in the bloody mary. The water was warm and the beach was clean. We weren't bothered by the men/women who passed through selling stuff and if we weren't interested, the kindly took no for an answer. The food was good but not excellent. I think they try to appease the American tourists with burgers & such. We had such a great time we are actually looking into booking a longer stay at Jaimies as we just stopped for the day as a cruise excursion. Blue Reef definitely got us away from the cruise crowds. It is a short $4 per person taxi ride from the pier. Thank you all so much & we will see you again!

This review is overdue, but the praise is no less deserved. We enjoyed such a relaxed and happy day at Jaime’s at Blue Reef and we would highly recommend it for anyone and everyone. This was actually our third reservation there, but the first time we have been able to go due to the cancellation of so many cruises during the pandemic. Although it is a relatively fast taxi ride from the port, it feels like your are a million miles away - it’s old Mexico, not touristy Mexico, and the food and the hospitality are just perfect. He keeps the numbers down (unlike too many other day spots) so you don’t feel crowded and the service is never slow.
Our servers that day were Juan and Digby - we have done a lot of all-inclusive day excursions in various parts of Mexico, but never have we run into the kind of genuine friendliness that these two offered! They kept us well fed with delicious homemade dishes while Ricorda kept made sure that we had all the drinks we could want. And Jaime comes around often to make sure everyone is happy and content. And we were! We are definitely scheduled to return in May 2023, if not sooner, so keep our loungers warm as we will be back.

We stopped in Costa Maya on a cruise on March 24, 2023. We took a 10 minute cab ride to Jaime’s. We went with three other couples to spend the day on Jaime’s beach. The cost was approximately $55 per person which included all of our drinks and just fantastic food right on the beach. I’m telling you the freshest bar type food you could ever eat. We could sit in the sun or the shade. There was a great swimming area and a few water sports were included. We would go back tomorrow! Our servers Digby and Chucho brought us tons of food and never let our glasses go empty and our bartender Alejandro made wonderful drinks! Don’t miss this place!

My group followed the reviews, and it's safe to say, this was the best thing we did in Costa Maya! We hopped in a Taxi for $4/person and headed here -- make sure you have reservations prior. We arrived to our own private beach chair section with tables and were able to order anything we want all inclusive. We had chips and guacamole which were incredible, fresh margaritas, and delicious steak fajita tacos. Bottled water was also provided upon request. We laid on the beach drinking, swam in the crystal clear private water, swung on the water swings, and even paddle boarded. Our servers were great and the man who did our reservation was wonderful and had the most adorable daughter! Could not recommend this enough! We went on a 5 day cruise and this was by far my favorite thing we did. I think our servers were Chucho and Digby!

We have been on numerous all inclusive beach excursions in just about every port we have visited, and let me tell you Jamies is hands down number 1. Several reasons why, all the other ones, drinks beer and cocktails served in solo cups, had to go to the bar and get them ourselves. Not here, it's as simple of raising your arm and they come to take the order, beer served in the bottle, ice cold. Cocktails served in glass. Now, this is just my opinion, the mango margarita, I felt wasn't up to par though, the mango flavor was not the problem, I just felt that there was no tequila in it at all. I did not try any other cocktails so I can't vouch for that. The food, they do have unlimited food to, here again, other excursion, was a buffet, we had to fix our own plate, same as the beer, they came and took our order and was brought out to us. I very highly recommend the fish ceviche , it was absolutely delish. My husband had the beef tacos, he said they was also very good. Our granddaughter had the chicken fajitas , she said she enjoyed them. The salsa and chips , they was ok, tasted like canned tomato sauce was used, with chopped tomatoes. but hey we still ate it! Now to the service, top notch! They stay on top of things for sure, Rodrigo, that man is everywhere! on the ball, never wanted or waited to long for anything! U r da man! I didn't get the name of the other server, female, but she rocked just as much as Rodrigo. We booked this about a week before the cruise, When we arrived our spot had been reserved with our name clearly labeled. I think this is more of a place for adults than children/teenagers ( our gd is 17) and there are no water slides and such for them, the water area to swim in is shallow, which I didn't mind. When we was ready to go, they walked to the the taxis. The 1 real negative and let me say this, it nothing to do with Jamie and his staff, but the vendors are a constant barrage, all the time, you can tell them no, but the same ones keep coming back. Next time I'm just going to bring a "no" sign, put it near our lounge chair. It is recommended that you book in advance because there are a limited number of spaces, Jamie is great about answering all the emails with any questions and concerns.
