We went to the Travel In' when staying at Balam Ku Inn, as it's just a short walk down the path (great if you don't have a car or want to have a few drinks). The food is delicious and fresh, drinks are great and...there's a nice selection of wines as well as beers and cocktails. The seafood is super fresh, and the ribs delicious. We ended up deciding to come back the next night and Albert the owner organised some fresh lobster to be caught for us. Sad to leave after 2 outings and not go back another night! Prices are really good value too, I would definitely recommend making the trip down to Travel In' whether you are staying in Mahahual or on the south road nearby, it's easy by car. Make sure to order the fresh Pita to start.More

Great food with a global feel. Very informal but extremely comfortable and friendly atmosphere. There is a regular menue and a daily special. Nor familiar with the accomodations, but there is a wonderful porch, a bird filled backyard, and a private beach accross the road....Great place to eat if you are staying anwhere on this shore road from Mahahual or beyond.More

Highly recommended place, if you want to eat a bit away from hyper-touristic center. The food was tasty and freshly prepared. The dogs were nice, the owner of the restaurant let you feel very welcomed.

We live down the road and we have been here a couple of times so far this year. Albert and Justa, the owners, are very good and run a very nice establishment. The food is great and the service is just as good.

Justa and Albert were kind to host us (with our camper van) for a night on the beach in front of their property: the two of them are super friendly and welcoming. The food was good, with fresh ingredients, and prepared at the moment. We...also loved the presence of their dogs around us: it gave like a homey feel. We will surely stop by next time to try the rest of the menu.More

I would rate this place 10 stars, the food was great, the service was amazing and the drinks were by far the best I’ve tried in years. We loved everything on the menu. They are unique in Mahahual, asian flavors, european dishes and more, this...was an unexpected surprise! Justa and Albert are amazing hosts, and so is everyone else on the team. The excellent quality/price ratio, the beautiful setting and the warm welcoming makes this place one of my favorites ever.More

I went there because I was staying around and I didn't wanted to drive 20 minutes to downtown. Service is good and food is basic. Like having dinner with a family member who likes cooking but is not a pro. Pita, I will not called...like that instead a flat bread. Pitas, Greek or libanease are fluffy, with bubbles in top and soft consistency. I just didn't like 2 dogs and one cat turning around the tables and customers. But that is my personal opinion. You will not see that even in the most cheapest taqueria in Mexico (hygiene reasons). But I understand in an European managed restaurant.More

Justa and Albert were kind enough to host our cooking classes for a few days/nights in their lovely and newly renovated kitchen. We cooked a large South Indian inspired vegetarian dinner for 12 and another night fresh lobster Mac and cheese with smoked pork ribs...in a local honey and soy sauce glaze!More

Justa and Albert are so welcoming..you feel like you've been invited to dinner! We enjoyed their hospitality along with the wonderful homemade pita and garlic dip, hummus, and a bountiful and most delicious fondue which is a specialty.(order a day ahead). Albert's Old Fashion and...homemade orange ice cream were real delights! This is an experience not to be missed!More
