My wife and I made our annual holiday trip to Halfmoon Bay again this year. Turtle Bay Café is always a mainstay for use when we visit. Their breakfasts are the best, we dined 4 times at Turtle Bay during trip and enjoyed many menu...items and they were all delicious. The Turtle Bay is must if you are visiting the Akumal area, we have never been disappointed with their food quality, service, atmosphere, and yes they're bar is great for drinks, beers, and watching sports. I highly recommend a visit to Turtle Bay for any meal.More

The ice cream is really rich and creamy. I loved the habenero chocolate—not really hot, just a little kick—which I enjoyed with a scoop of the nutella—2 scoops for 105 pesos. The pies and cakes looked lovely. The tasted like very synthetic whipped cream. mousse,...etc. I really wanted to rate Turtle Bay highly. They are a foundation of Playa Akumal. We didn't have breakfast there. Maybe it is better.More

I love this spot for a lazy long breakfast. I always get one of the skillet breakfast meals and an order of French toast. One of my go to spots for NFL games too. So relaxing and the WiFi is strong in case you need...to “ work”.More

We ate her many times. Great smoothies in the morning. Great lunch, delicious blackened fish tacos and shrimp tacos. Delicious pastries and ice cream. We absolutely loved it. Smoothies before diving, lunch after then back again for dinner. Excellent food and service. Excellent prices.

Our 3rd trip. It's always worth the short walk from our resort. Today was smoked chicken & steak fajitas! Amazing chicken. They recommended the potato salad and were correct, it was delicious. Always enjoyable!

Stopped here for lunch. Will definitely be going back (multiple times) throughout our stay. Started with a sourdough flatbread: I think it had anchiote pork, pineapple and maybe cilantro?) and it was UH-MAZING. My wife and I are from the Bay Area of California, and...are accustomed to better-than-average food. This flatbread would sell like crazy if someone sold it Iike this in California. Seriously, why DON’T we have this? Next came tacos: Wife had drunken grilled fish tacos, which she she said were fantastic and I had the shrimp tempura tacos. You know how some places overdo the tempura and the shrimp just tastes like a fried mess? Not here. The tempura was light and tasty, like in Tokyo. No skimping on the shrimp in the tacos, and the rest of the ingredients all tasted so fresh and wonderful. Wife had ice cream for dessert: (Nutella) Apparently it’s handmade and was also quite tasty. Nice and smooth and not too sweet or overdone. Side note: wife has also been getting fresh fruit smoothies on most days and they’re also fresh and delicious! There’s wifi available, a full bar is attached, and there’s a really pleasant outdoor seating area under a nice large shade structure (palapa). Servers are also friendly, helpful and doing their best to maintain sanitary conditions for all. So yeah, we have another week here and I suspect we will be stopping here many more times before we leave. Thanks Turtle Bay! It’s so nice to have a great spot like this just a walk away!More

To be honest we only went for dessert because of the good reviews, but I thought it was just okay. Service wasn't great either. I had to flag them down for my bill. They should have known when we were done eating and sitting for...10 minutes. Anyway I tried it and for dessert was just okay. I didnt try the food so I can't comment on that.More
