After snorkeling at the nearby bay we popped in here for lunch...great little find. Food was plentiful and tasty and the young lady who served us was lovely. We had the steak sandwich and I followed it up with carrot cake...absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend.

We went for breakfast. I had fruit, yogurt and homemade granola. It was fine. Not the best I've ever had, but fine. My friend had pancakes and eggs. Also fine, but nothing to rave about. Outdoor seating is nice, but no water view. You can use your credit card but need to pay for your tip with cash.

We found this place for breakfast thanks to trip advisor. After getting tired of our resort food we ventured out! Thank goodness we did!!! We went for breakfast and it was amazing! My boyfriend got the pecan pancakes and they were HUGE and fluffy!!! And so cheap for what u get. If you are a foodie I highly recommend a... More

There doesn't seem to be a lot of choice for a breakfast location in Akumal, but perhaps that's due to how well the Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe delivers! We at there a total of three times and they never disappointed, french toast, eggs, homemade bread and eggs benedict were all great. Come casual seat yourself and expect great food... More

Go for a look at this very colourful restaurant, and stop for some amazing food. We went with our friends from Tulsa, we are Scottish, both nationalities thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Friendly, helpful staff. Fresh, tasty food, reasonably priced. We were staying at 'Akumal Bay Wellness Resort', only a leisurely stroll along the beautiful beach. Oh! I want to go... More

There were four of us and they were very accommodating. I think almost everything is made from scratch the moment you order - such as the grouper-shrimp ceviche. We're well traveled foodies with picky palettes and it was so delicious we ate there every day for 7 days. None of us have ever done that before! We probably tried a... More

I visited this place twice for breakfast while in Akumal. I will have to say that I really enjoyed their food and the portions were very large. The only negative, when paying in US dollars the second day the waitress tried to significantly up-charge the bill. Now a small exchange rate difference is no big deal but a 35% difference... More

Looking for pizza but most were closed on the Monday for some reason. Heard of this location, tried and found it very pleasing. Nice atmosphere and staff. PS....got a flatbread pizza here, was good.

Turtle Bay is our go-to breakfast spot in Akumal. They have pretty much whatever you'd want, be it omelets, pancakes, or my absolute favorite, the huevos rancheros. They also have a really good selection of fruit juices and smoothies. It's not fancy. Most of the tables are under an outdoor palapa or under an awning near their outdoor bar. Personally,... More
