Excellent place to eat just off Akumal bay beach, and only a short taxi ride from most of the all inclusive resorts such as Grande Bahia Principe etc. We popped in for a couple of bottles of Sol to dodge a shower and also enjoyed the complimentary nachos, our waiter Carlos then offered us a fishing trip which we arranged... I had the squid. It was garlicky and delicious. My friend had a fish filet. Also garlicky and delicious. They also bring you chips and pico that is hot, but yummy. You need cash. They don't take credit cards. No beach view. There was someone playing guitar for tips for live music.

This place was recomended by some people we met snorkling in Akumal. They offer different kind of seafood. Prices are a little bit high but the quality and the taste of the food is realy good. We will be back.

We went to this restaurant while staying at tbe Grand Bahia Principe Tulum. The food was fantastic and the service was even better! We were served an appetizer buffet, soup, main course and a desert buffet. Needless to say, by the end of the mean, I was STUFFED! The deserts were light and sweet, perfect for polishing off a great... More

My wife and I went to La Cueva del Pescador to try a local restaurant in Akumal. Simply put, it was one of the best seafood meals I've ever had and was very affordable. We started of with a plate of mini lobster and some crispy garlic shrimp. It was so good we went ahead and ordered a second plate... More

Great food and hospitality at embarrassingly inexpensive prices. English spoken fluently by patient courteous waiters.

While walking around Akumal pueblo from the beach, we noticed a restaurant right off the main road. My wife had heard of it from previous trips and we decided to give them a try. We were pleasantly surprised at the service and menu. The majority of the cuisine is fish and seafood caught locally and prepared as fresh as can... More
