This is a very nice alternative to the beach places, to get a feel of the town. The owner/chef is fantastic, makes everybody feel really welcome. Prices are not standard Mexican, but then, nothing is in the area, except maybe a few groceries and the laundry service at the foot of the bridge on the town side (awesome ladies!). The... More

Very good food across the highway from the beach. Owner is terrific and an extremely excellent chef. Food is fresh, different and worth the walk across the bridge.

This is a small, local restaurant in "the real" Akumal (so no ocean views), but it makes up for that with a simple but delicious choice of tacos and other typical Mexican dishes. May be a good place to do takeout to supplement the relatively limited food options in the Akumal area.

One reason we travel Mexico is because we love the food and hospitable local people. This quaint restaurant is in the small town of Akumal, an easy 15 min walk from the tourist/beach area, and was well worth the walk. We both enjoyed fish dishes which were delicious, but the menu has many other choices. Our server was attentive &... More

Small local place with great food. The coconut shrimp was delicious. Everything is cooked from scratch. I will visit again.

The owner Alfredo is one of the kindest person you will ever meet, he's very thoughtful, and passionate about his restaurant. The food is fantastic at a very affordable price, it's so much a better deal than the rest of the restaurants in Akumal, and very healthy. 👌🏽

We stopped by after akumal and it was awesome food, fish tacos, rice, Pina coladas and margaritas. He had a special habanero salsa that was really hot and sweet but we loved it. The group that we went with still talks about the tacos really decent prices and prompt service.

Margaritas and guacamole, ceviche was fantastic. I can't recommend the fajitas, but owner Alfredo is very accommodating and service was best we had in Mexico.
