We went there, after seeing some great reviews, left completely baffled. Did not expect a great restaurant or anything like that, and we have been too many local street corner places that we liked, but this was far from being even remotely tasty

Arrived for an early dinner. Very friendly service and incredibly tasty tacos with a range of accompaniments including an amazing habanero sauce (must try if you like spicy food). It’s a shame we only have a couple of days left of our holiday or we...would be returning. If you’re staying on the beach front in Akumal, we would recommend the short walk into town to support the great businesses here.More

Our family of 7 were so excited to go into the pueblo for dinner and we were very grateful to eat at Cosme's! The lady serving us was SO sweet and the food was DELICIOUS! We got a bunch of tacos with their fabulous sides....We tried to go back but they were unfortunately closed. If we had time, we would have tried again. Great place!More

This is an authentic Mexican place, the food was perfect, jhovany gave us the best service ever and the prices were really fair, cheaper than it should be.

Must go! Food is delicious and so friendly! Tacos and tortas, chicken or pork. Pork ribs and whole chicken meals. 10 minute walk from Akumal Beach, first taco shop over the bridge on the right.

We always have to bike out to Cosmes and get some tacos. They are the best and the service is good. We brought the grand kids ages 22 21 and 17 out for a bike ride around town and too look at he art.

We arrived between lunch and dinner, and the food was still good and seemed fresh, even though they didn’t have the grill going. The service was wonderful and the beer was ice cold!

Had the pollo, al pastor, and carne asada tacos. They were all great. Service super friendly, although English language skills v limited. Tacos come with a large selection of sauces and with pico. Not necessarily COVID safe though.

This place has no airs and graces about it - don't expect fine dining. What you can expect is a warm family environment, fantastic food (the guac is incredible), and incredible value for money. The portion sizes will leave you full and it is honestly...like spending an evening inside a Mexican families kitchen- and you are the honour guest for the day. Genuinely lovely people. Its basic, its down to earth and it is brilliant - highly reccomened if you are in the area, you will not be disappointed. Also have their tequila whilst you are there, they only have one and it was the best we have had after 2 1/2 weeks in mexico (it didn't burn whilst going down put that way).More

Our 8 person group showed up looking for food. They sized us up, offered a fair price ($500 Pesos) and said they’d just bring out platters of food for us to make all our own tacos. They food was great and they had a variety...of toppings to make our own toppings. As they noticed our tortillas or any one item (e.g. rice) were getting low, they showed up with refills without being asked. They were super kind and my kids have all asked to go back.More

This is one of our favorite places to eat in the pueblo. We get three meat platter for tacos. The smoke from the grill fills the seating area with the aroma from the meat. Come hungry as the plate is huge, and the tortillas plentiful.
