This is an old place under new management and we thought it was just great! The margaritas were so amazing, especially the blackberry ones! We went to the beach every day and they graciously let us sit on their beach chairs which were super cummfy. We had lunch with them every day it seemed and it was super yummy. The... More

Ate dinner there with my partner last week. We sat upstairs and enjoyed a magnificent view of the bay. 2 Cold beers up here and we were in heaven. The only issue we had was that we suspect that one of our meals (the enchiladas) were reheated. I had fish tacos that were good. But when enchiladas come out in... More

A local restaurant for fair priced local fish and Mexican coastal fare. I love the Ceviche tostadas as an appetizer and whole red snapper for a main course. Cold beer and good margaritas. A local was gathering oysters and I got a dozen fresh oysters shucked on the spot. Eat with your feet in the sand or lounge under the... More

Well, we haven't been to El Dorado for about two years. We decided we should probably go there more often. Breakfast up on the upper deck overlooking the bay was GREAT! We started with fresh orange juice for all four of us and then ordered omelettes and french toast. The three omelettes were huge and flavorful one stuffed with shrimp... More

We stopped at El Dorado for cocktails during our trip. We were doing a "Pub Crawl" that late afternoon/evening and the restaurant staff was very open to just allowing us to have drinks and hang out for a while. Cadillac Margaritas were ordered although I had a Strawberry Pina Colada. Easy seating. Great Service.

this restaurant was a great spot to hang out at the beach with shade from the cool thatched roof... the drinks were good enough, the waitstaff very attentive and supportive of our attempts to speak spanish, and our shrimp quesadilla and shrimp ceviche were excellent appetizers. if you want a low-key place where families from all over the world can... This is a gem of a place! We visited 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Get there early for lunch because it gets crowded fast. Its a super casual place. Bare feet accepted. If you get there before the crowd you will be rewarded with front row sitting under your palapa and ocean views. The food was very good and the... More

Stopped here for lunch - 7 of us. The server was very good and attentive. Beer and drinks were reasonably priced and everyone seemd to enjoy their food - guacamole and fish tacos for the most part. Prices were reasonable - Punta de Mita is quite pretentious and everyone's prices have gone up considerably

We just came in from a Fishing Charter with Big Tuna with a cooler full of fresh Red Snapper and bonito. Our guides recommended going to El Dorado to see if they would prepare our fish for us. We walked in and they were so accommodating. The made a family style meal made from our fresh catch, that was just... More
