We spent part of a Sunday afternoon on the sidewalk cafe watching the square. Good appetizers and margarita. Raspberry cake was good, too.

The Surtidora restaurant in Patzcuaro is located right at the main plaza by the tasty ice cream and pastries vendors. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and food here; We visited it almost daily! It is housed in a colonial big house over four hundred years old. Their hot chocolate is awesome and their meat dishes are delicious, pricing is... More

The food is fine, could improve like always, service ok, it's a very old store and restaurant, that's very old and has been around for a while, traditional food, good coffee.

A nice place, it has an amazing brakefast, it's clean and also great service. The best part was dinner, i ate the best enchiladas and molletes. If you prefer you can ask for a cofee and enjoy the view of "la plaza de Don Vasco"

Really so little effort into the plates served here. Almost everything seems fried and it[s just the epitome of canned cheap and poor tourist food leveraging it[s location only. Not a recommendation from me.

This restaurant has location going for it. Being directly on the plaza it allows for great people watching. The menu is large and they offer full bar.

Very nice place - not only for dinner, but also some shopping of local specialties. Perfectly located at the central plaza of the city. Very friendly service. I do recommend sopa de tarasca - it was delicious. Arrachera was not the best I've eaten. Overall though worth visiting.

My friend and I dined at an outdoor table at this highly rated restaurant which is situated directly across the street from the main plaza in Patzcuaro. The ambiance was quite nice, and I had heard about the fabulous carnitas that should not be missed in the nearby town of Quiroga. When I saw them on the menu here, I... More
