Great new addition to Ajijic’s famed culinary selection. At about Juarez 20 lake side of the Carretera. I have had the bbq sandwich and a Al Pastor sandwich. Delicious and great value. Even comes with Cole slaw which was also great! Give it a try.

Overpriced and pretentious. My dish was undercooked. My seat allowed me to look in the kitchen where I witnessed one of the cooks licking her fingers while she was preparing a dish.

I find it amazing that the little town on the shores of Lake Chapala is so blessed with such fine dining experiences. I live on Camarones (shrimp) when I go to Mexico and their coconut camarones on a bed of mashed potatoes were divine, not...to mention huge and delicious. The plating was unbelievable, the chef clearly an artist as well as a culinary genius. My wife was more than happy with her peasant salad - bean/pea - and the ingredients are so fresh and local. Excellent service and a reasonable price for an outstanding meal.More

Food was excellent. I was last here 4 years ago and the restaurant was I remembered except the menu is now more varied and the space has expanded. Service was superb as usual.

While visiting Guadalajara I traveled all the way to Ajijic to try this restaurant because recommendations and good reviews. But the did NOT live up tp the expectation. The one dish I wanted (Octopus) was not available. Food was just ok and compared to food...I had in Guadalajara it was rather average. Service was great at first and then terrible! Couldn’t come by to table to ask us how we were doing and if needed anything else. We got a small portion of chips and they never were refilled. Really how much would it actually cost you? Prices are a bit high for this small town and do not justify the actual value and experience you get. Unfortunately we traveled 45 minutes for nothing. I would not recommend this restaurant and I believe is a bit overrated.More

A spectacular meal tonight. We three had three different and amazingly flavorful and well-presented meals. This is high Mexican cuisine at its finest. Nestled into a small building in our Ajijic Centro neighborhood, the chef creates innovative and beautiful dishes using the finest of Mexican...ingredients. The decor is colorful Mexican, and it is fitting for the ambiance and the food. The staff are knowledgable and friendly, and very prompt. We love that the menu changes with the seasons, and that peak seasonal ingredients are featured. Tonight, I had an amazing tuna steak seared with amaranth seeds with a light sauce, perfectly grilled vegetables and flavorful mashed potatoes. Too much for one meal, it will be greedily enjoyed for lunch tomorrow! Because we live in the neighborhood, we often walk our dogs by the restaurant. In between the lunch and dinner shifts, the staff can be seen enjoying their meal together, laughing and talking. A happy staff makes for happy customers! This is definitely a “Must Visit” restaurant!More

Upon arrival, my waiter recommended an off menu braised port loin, based on its tenderness. I accepted that, and wasn't surprised when it showed up without a knife However, when I cut into it with my fork it was tough enough to explode the gravy...all over my clothes, the table and the floor. After I complained about this a couple times, I was brought a towel and told the kitchen staff would be advised. I told them I was going to deduct $3 from my bill for clothes cleaning, after they failed to offer any compensation. They accepted. Once I was out, the waiter called me an ass#### and hit me in the face. He was obviously trying to drag into a brawl. I reminded him there never would have been a problem if I had been provided with a knife. He accused my of preplanning on not paying my bill, and threatened to kill me ?if I ever return. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I will stay far awayMore

You'll probably need a reservation, unless you get there early, because this place is popular with both the tourists and the locals. The quality of the food is excellent, and there are some unusual dishes on the menu. Big parties can be accommodated on the...mirador above the main floor.More

This is one of our very favorite restaurants in Ajijic / great menu, artistic presentation and wonderful atmosphere with kind staff. Even the bathrooms are great - one an alter to Frida and the other an alter for day of the dead… a must eat...in Ajijic!More

Even though there was a very large party in the private dining room upstairs, we were not slighted in the least on service. The staff are lovely and patient with gringos trying to learn Spanish. I had a fruit mezcal cocktail that reminded me of...a Vampiro, but really, it's just fruit, with a little mezcal. Very tasty. My partner had the Chicken Birria and I was pretty jealous. But, my pork shank was absolutely out of this world, too. The front and back of house staff clearly take pride in their work and the food and service show it.More

This probably the best cuisine Ajijic offers. The menu is almost beyond description. Every item we had was prepared with the upmost care and beautifully presented. Service could not have been better.

One of, if but not the best restaurant in Ajijic! Everything in this restaurant from the meals to the atmosphere to the service to the management and ownership is great! Very reasonable pricing, menu changes from time to time. Located in the heart of Ajijic.

So lucky to have dinner here! (Next time, make a reservation!) My first taste of chiles en nogada - very good! - and a nice white wine from Guadalupe Valley.
