The waiter noted that we would enjoy the chef's good French cooking. Based on that, we went for the higher end dishes. The scallops were rubbery and not a generous portion. The waiter mistook one order and brought a different dish. The trout was fine but not noteworthy. Then we were told the desserts were homemade. But the creme caramel... More

We were spending a few days vacationing in Vermont and our B&B hosts suggested we bring our passports with us so we could go across the border to Canada for some French food to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They recommended A La Fontaine in Sutton, which was about 15 minutes from the border crossing from Vermont. It was a lovely... More

Very pleasant weekday afternoon with a set lunch menu. There is an a la carte menu as well, if wanted. Servers were very efficient and knowledgeable. Outdoor patio was perfect for the hot summer afternoon.

Best food choice in Sutton, Quebec. The food was a bit pricey for the ambiance. Bottomline, we just love the French food. we have dine in there for 3 different times and it is still good to be back.

Ate here during a recent ski trip do Mont Sutton. The atmosphere is great, the food and service even better. All the menu specials were explained to us in great detail and after serious thought, we ordered the gravlax, steak with green pepper sauce and duck a l'orange. All were fantastic!

We enjoyed a very nice 'Table d'hôte' set menu selection. The staff were very friendly in this family run business. In fact, we were served by the 'son' who did an excellent job. I noticed three dining area décors: 'classy' chandelier area, a dark-woody area (where we sat), and a brighter family dining area. The food was gourmet quality, with... More

Fixed priced menu seemed good value - entree of prawn cocktail, soup or salad and rabbit cooked in a rich sauce for the price of the main course only. Creme Caramel was delicious but cappuccino a little disappointing (we are Melbournian coffee snobs though). House red drinkable and reasonably priced.

Thank Doreen S
