Have just had a superb lunch at Owls Bread along with perfect croissants, a delicious blue berry tarte for last evening's desert with friends at their home, and several croque monseur's today. Delightful owner, Dennis, and his charming wife Agnes deliver incredible value and a charm seldom found anymore. Go - you'll not be disappointed! And we come 300 miles... More

Love passi by this bakery any time I go to Vermont. Well worth the stop.. get a homemade desert.. or a homemade bread. If you have a little more time, enjoy a lunch or a diner. Good food, nice little location.

We like to stop at Owl's Bread for lunch whenever we show this part of the Eastern Townships to visiting friends. The portions are a little on the small side, but for only 2$ additional you can get a substantial soup to go with your meal. There is always something interesting on the daily menu, and the bread is a... More

All I will say about the food that this bakery serves is that the portions are small for what they charge, however, it is the treatment we received from our waitress from Hell that was astonishing. I cannot believe she is a waitress. I can only surmise from the rude comments she made to us that she must be the... More

Owls Bread is a bakery with excellent breads, croissants, tartes and other goodies. Very high quality and delicious. There is also a small, informal 'bistro' in the same small building with dishes that vary from various rillettes, salads, sandwiches, soups to heartier plats du jour like confit de canard or sausages. We greatly enjoyed the plate with three types of... More

Came in on a rainy Friday morning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the croissants were fantastic! I had an almond one, my girlfriend a plain classic one. Delicious! Note: they do not take American debit cards - only cash or credit cards.

wonderful food, we each ordered something different and they had food you can't find most places like "potted meat" . My daughter raved about her Greek salad , best she ever had. The bread here is wonderful too, it is a bakery and restaurant.

Make sure you call for their restaurant hours, if you plan to eat here. The website said they were open until 5:30, but that meant the bakery only and not the restaurant. We wanted to eat there - their duck pate is to die for - but they had stopped serving already. The croissants are divine. There was non-stop walk-on... More

We've been coming for many years and never disappointed. Charming with carefully prepared food AND the deserts; to die from!; I mean for. Close to Owls Head for skiing and hiking and cyclists which we did to deserve what we ate. Great owners; Denis is a French gourmet chef and Agnes is just CHARMING!

I have been a master baker for many years, so when I find another bakery I have to check it out. Owl's Bread has been one of my favorite Sunday drive designations and the smell is heavenly...
