We enjoyed our meals of haddock and hamburger with gravy; Service was good and prices most reasonable. A couple sitting next to us were having crab legs and they said they were delicious. The restaurant is a bit loud as it is one open room without any sound barriers. There weren't a lot of restaurant choices in town and we... More

Louisbourg doesn't offer much in the way of dining options so we sort of ended up here by default . Decor might be described as functional with vinyl tile flooring and Formica topped tables but the food was fine . Really nice chowder . Burger was home made ( perhaps a bit over cooked ) fish dishes of Salmon and... More

I wasn't hungry enough for the full lobster dinner w/ veggies, so opted for the lobster sandwich in garlic Texas toast w/ a side of cole slaw. It was just the right amount but I'd swear they had a whole lobster stuffed between the toast slices. It was so delicious. A nice cold glass of Rickard Red accompanied our lunch... More

We are in a food coma after eating there! It is a quaint restaurant with Celtic music playing in the background. There is a patio extending over the water. We made reservations and they booked us a table by the water. We had the crab legs, the scallops, the chowder and the fish and chips. All the food was mouth... More

Ordered "plain ol'" fish and chips and I was knocked out by the fresh haddock, lightly battered. Good fresh chips too. Had lobster wrap the day before and it was great. Other diners loved seafood chowder and fishcakes with beans. This is good local eating with nice service and sea front view. No gimmicks, just good food.

The crab legs were huge. It took me an hour to get through all of it. There was so much food. I ordered the meal which came with roasted potatoes, carrots. broccoli. There was a choice of butter or garlic butter. I would have given this restaurant the highest rating, however, the service was mediocre. The waitress only came out... More

We were just driving away from town when we spotted the sign. It is nothing fancy inside , basic table and chairs, but the food was fabulous, my son had a burger which was full of all the right stuff, while we had the seafood chowder and......lobster poutine.......if you go you have to try it...incredibly delicious!

We started with the chowder, it was delicious! Recommend Had best of both worlds, lobster and snow crab with roasted potatoes. So good. Also had fish and chips, huge flaky white. Great service and view.

Just had a great meal here - haddock, potatoes, carrots and broccoli. It was fresh, cooked perfectly and served with a smile by a really chatty and friendly waiter. We didn't go for dessert but if we'd have had room it would have been a local Apple specialty served with ice cream. I loved the little bootees on the chair... More
