Decent food, HUGE bar area with live music, pool, and cheap drinks. We were there just before the busy season, so it was pretty slow, which was nice. There aren't a ton of restaurant options in cheticamp, but you would do well to eat here.

While it was incredibly busy the night my family and I ate here the service was pretty average and the food took almost an hour to come out. It did taste very good but unfortunately this was not quite enough to salvage the night.

We had a nice lunch in a bar setting, food was good and the service good. The bar was nicely decorated with sports stuff and there was a pool tournament going on, that provided entertainment.

We chose to eat in the "pub," not the dining room, because we wanted to see and listen to the local musicians who were playing that night. We were not disappointed in either! What a treat!

This is a great bar with sports memorabilia and live entertainment. We sat in the bar area rather than the dining room and enjoyed chatting with a gentleman from Germany visiting the area on a salmon fishing trip. There was a special two steak dinners for a set price. The steak was so flavorful and tender, and our waitress was... More

This restaurant is worth driving to. The food was fantastic , the service above great. We went there with our two young grandsons, son and daughter-in-law. The six of us were served quickly. On the way out the boys were aloud to pick a toy from the treasure chest. It was a great experience.

Our dinners were fine although the seafood stir fry had too much sweet sauce and not enough seafood. But the service was very friendly

For the fifth year in a row Le Gabriel has be a favourite of ours on the Cabot Trail. Even on the second last day of the season, with no lobster or crab feast on the menu, they manage to impress with their substitutions of perfectly cooked available seafood selections. And of course the amazing desert cart! Gluten free options... More

Our favourite restaurant of the many excellent restaurants in Cape Breton, we visited again in October 2016. This was perhaps our twentieth visit in 15 years or so. As ever the seafood dishes are just superb and there is plenty of choice of meat and poultry dishes on the menu also. The desserts on the sweet trolly are yummy -... More
