My wife and I had breakfast here this morning. She had the scone and fruit, and I had the egg in a ham cup. Both were outsanding, especially the scone.

Busy as can be. Flooded with wonderful smells of home baking, fresh coffee, and home made soups. Well run with plenty of staff who get the orders in but the wait seemed a bit long for the Turkey sandwich and my tomato lentil soup. The sandwich was excellent and the soup good. Then we had their thin, flakey, delightful oatcakes!... More

We come up for Celtic Colours every year and always stay at the Telegraph House in Baddeck. (See my review on the hotel for more on that.) one of the really nice perks is that the High Wheeler Cafe is right across the street. It's a charming, friendly spot with excellent coffee and espresso options, fine breakfasts and some of... More

On our recent visit to Baddeck we enjoyed a breakfast of bacon, eggs and homemade toast for me and smoked salmon on bagel and cappuccino for my spouse (he declared it the best capp of the trip). Everything was fresh and tasty, so we ordered sandwiches of ham and cheese and pastrami and cheese to go for the hiking trail... More

This restaurant/deli was quite busy when we arrived, but we did not have to wait long before we were served. It's an order-at-the-counter kind of establishment. We all ordered sandwiches, which were fresh, huge and delicious!! I also had soup, which was very good. The only thing that was disappointing about this restaurant was the decor. Such a cool spot,... The hotel I have been in does not provide edible breakfasts, so I found this oasis which offers a good selection of delicious breakfasts. I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel on my first visit, and took a blueberry scone with me. So fresh and tasty. Coffee is always a test for me, and this time it was... More
