After a couple of other meals in the canteen type restaurants of Baddeck it was nice to have a leisurely meal in the Telegraph . Linen table cloths , napkins and friendly service . Food was fine , OK so not the finest on the East Coast but the best we had in Baddeck . Price point above other local... More

OMG.... they need big time renovations. the place had this musky smell all day all night. i think i was also bitten under the covers. had a few bites when i woke up next morning.... More

This had to be the worst dining experience of our 10-day trip. It took a long while to be served and then the only times we saw our waitress was to take our order and to give us our bill. The prime rib looked and tasted like deli sliced beef with gravy. The lobster was tough in the shell, the... More

We looked at several menus from nearby restaurants, but settled on this as seeming more interesting and promising. We were not disappointed. The dining room was old-fashioned "country" elegant, the service was knowledgeable and attentive, and the food was excellent. The dessert, however, was disappointingly mediocre.

We had a nice stay here. The inn is well kept, and the rooms were pleasant. One of our two rooms had a very small bathroom, but we weren't too bothered by it. Though I can't definitively say that this place is better than any of the other inns in town, I'd be happy to recommend it to a friend.... More

We had a super dinner at the Cable Room restaurant. The waitress was friendly and attentive (well, the service was a little bit slow, but it was worth the wait) and the food was nicely presented, fresh, hot and very tasty. So tasty, in fact, that we couldn't resist trying their desserts - and the pot de creme did not... More

Love the location - near to restaurants. Some open early for breakfast. All within walking distance. Gas station and convenience store, pharmacy are very nearby We used this hotel as our based for Cabot trail ride/travel. Rooms are basic. Unsure if it is the cleaning detergent or other things, the toilet has a smell, but it was gone once we... More

In the center of Baddeck, the Telegraph House is pleasant and very clean. A great quiet night's sleep in one of the newly decorated rooms. Early in the season so their dining room was not open. Good value, no breakfast but you can walk across the street to the bakery.

We did not jave hot water for a shower and the beds were super old. They came knocking at our door several times at 9am to clean the room but we were checking out that morning. Very small room, the facilities are quite old. We will not be back.

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful motel. The owner provided such excellent service. He was a wealth of knowledge and shared all the key places to see on the Cabot Trail, including providing us with a detailed map. THANK YOU!! We appreciated the warm fire lit for us at night and the great hospitality. Thank you Shawn, we... More
