Restaurant looked inviting so decided to give it a try. Unfortunately there was no menu posted outside or we might have had second thoughts as top end prices for seafood. Both had the seafood casserole which was nice but a very small portion, the carrots...More

got a bowl of chowder and it was $14.00! Very surprised as chowder in dartmouth rarely exceeds $7.00-$9.00! Wife had one piece fish and chips that was good but also overpriced. High end prices for a restaurant that is very plain with no tablecloths, etc. Ended...More

We were looking for a seafood restaurant for Father’s Day dinner while visiting Baddeck and walked past Bell-Buoy and decided to try it. We ordered the seafood chowder meal, haddock dinner, and their lobster dinner. The lobster was great but the other two dishes were...More

We entered to see the menu. Immediately someone came to help us. When he found we were vegetarians, he gave us the vegetarian menu. There was a greats atmosphere. A guitarist was playing some soft music. He was very good. The restaurant was well decorated...More

in general we found the food on Cape Breton was not as good as in the rest of Nova Scotia, but this place was a cut below what one would expect of a fresh seafood place. I had seafood cassarole and my husband had seafood...More

Not too busy when we arrived and only waited a minute or so to be seated. Staff numbers seemed OK but had to wait about 10 minutes for menus, etc. Server seemed disinterested. Not great. Highlights were the scallops St Jacques - nicely presented and...More
