At there two nights in a row, were only in Advocate Harbour two nights. Wanted to eat lunch on the way out of town, but hubby wanted to try another spot, bad decision. This restaurant is a must. Only 4 main course items and they had a fish and chips offering, but that offering might be seasonal , can't recall.... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal at this establishment. It was a very busy night. The meal was scrumptious and because it was so busy, the servers brought us a soup before our meal which we did not order but I wished I had. It was a carrot soup with tiny lavender flowers sprinkled on top. Fantastic flavour and very appetizing... More

This restaurant was definitely worth the drive from Parrsboro. We went for lunch on a Sunday morning and we were lucky to arrive early and get a table before the crowds arrived. I got the lobster roll (delicious) and my husband got a very unique assortment of fish on a board. Our server was efficient and informative. We were still... More

Best dinner...and so good we had to go back for lunch. The old house was full of character and the food amazing...fresh, creative and the service incredible. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone.

We were coming to advocate to visit my mom's birthplace and read amazing reviews here about Wild Carraway, so emailed about staying and eating there. Sarah was incredibly friendly and accomodating ahead of time, offering a vegan option for my husband. My 8 and 6 yr old, husband and I were so inspired by the warm welcome of Monica and... More

Had the best lunch at Wild Carraway. They use fresh ingredients and have flavorful dishes. The fish & chips were delicious and the fish cakes were to die for. The staff is very friendly and attentive. There is a great outdoor seating area as well as ample indoor seating. Would highly recommend eating here!

Had a superb dinner with relatives who are lucky enough to live in tiny Advocate Harbour. A hidden gastronomic gem, fresh seafood beautifully prepared, home made cured meats to die for..... Not the type of place you'd expect to come across so far off the beaten track.

Everything about this restaurant is fabulous - location, ambiance, food, drinks, service. We stopped here twice (lunch and dinner) while in town for a NovaShores kayak trip, enjoying various seafood dishes. All were great, but we particularly enjoyed the chowder, scallops, and dulse-fennel rolls. We love good food, and this place is in our top 5 restaurants in the northeast.

We have there a memorable lunch three years ago and decided to take a roundabout way from Saint-John, NB to Halifax, just for the pleasure to have a tasty healthy meal. In the meantime, the chef probably changed - and my lobster bisque was anything but the bisque : a lot of vegetables cut as brunoise on top of the... More

Wow--what to say about this amazing experience. The Wild Caraway was recommended to us and did not disappoint! The setting was absolutely charming, the staff extremely friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional--from the complimentary cold spinach lasage soup to the succulent scallops to the caramel sticky pudding to the spruce shortbread, everything was fantastic. One of the best dining... More
