My family had supper here, mostly to taste some of the moose dishes. It's busy ! But the hosts and staff were cheerful, and attentive, and the food was just fine. We had a good meal while a travelling duo played some good folk music, and felt very mellow. Good bake apple/cloudberry pie, too.

This place has an outdoor deck blocked from the wind if you want to eat outside - which we did. Service was quick and friendly. Mooseburger was good. I had a backed potato on the side instead of fries. Also came with a tiny (and i mean tiny) side of coleslaw. Saw some locals eating there so we knew it... More

We had the nest moose stew at Earl's. Liked it so much we did a revisit next night. Simple surroundings, friendly and speedy service.

The moose burgers at Earl's in Rocky Harbour were highly recommended so lunch at Earl's was a must. They were just as delicious as rumour. Homemade 1/4lb with all the fixings. French fries are also homemade--delicious and the cloudberry cheesecake was good. I enjoyed the photo slideshow playing images of dozens of small villages while traditional Newfoundland music played. Service... More

We ordered moose stew and cod. There was an abundance of stew which we shared. The cod was tender and flakey (sautéed ).

On the way from St. Anthony to Lewisporte we stopped for lunch in Rocky Harbour. Earl's was rated well so we gave it a go. Instead of fish both my wife and I opted for moose. She had the stew and I went with the pie. The stew was luscious. Meaty and the broth was rich and velvety. Served with... More

My wife and I ate several dinners here and thoroughly enjoyed them all. There is also an excellent gift shop adjoining the restaurant.

We like this restaurant so much we kept going back. We were in Rocky Harbour for 4 days and this is the only restaurant we tried. A little bit of everything. The fried chicken was one of my favourites , cooked in a pressure cooker (Not greasy at all)? I also loved the carrot cake. Servers were friendly and efficient... More

Not a lot of great choices in Rocky Harbour but this one offers some that isn't fried - a rare find :) Moose meat pie was a traditional style meat pie but wasn't exactly teeming with meat. The shrimp dinner platter had 10 average sized shrimp that were pan-fried. Partridge-berry pie used the same crust as the moose meat pie... More
