We had delicious soup and coffee at this small shop. Very clean - great food - wonderful service! Strongly recommend having lunch here before or after the Skerwink Trail.

Loved the coffees, and the treats! Ingredients were fresh, and all of the choices were right up my ally. The service was genuine and friendly. A must stop for the best coffee in Newfoundland.

Two Whales is an oasis in a desert of mediocre cafes that abound in these parts - family run, friendly, really tasty baked goods, great coffee and a pleasant location near the sea. We visited on successive days (the first a truly awful weather day,...More

Was passing through Port Rexton today and went into the Two Whales Coffee Shop for a take away latte. It was the BEST latte that I have had in Eastern Newfoundland. Can’t wait to go by there again for another. It was yummy! And served...More

I went there because the fish and chips place was sold out. I had a panini and free refill coffee. It was very busy during the lunch hours. Locals and travellers mingle. It's lovely place to get home-made food in a very nice atmosphere.

Always loved Two Whales, and on a visit this past weekend they didn't disappoint. The place was packed and we had to wait a few minutes for a table. Had the brie cheese and berry chutney panini - fantastic! Their dessert case is amazing and...More

Not a disaster, but considering all of the accolades it receives, we were definitely underwhelmed. We (a party of 3) were enroute to Bonavista and stopped in for takeaway coffee and some baked goods. For one medium coffee and 4 baked items, it was a...More

Description
We are closed for the season - reopening 27 April 2019. Two Whales is a small, family run, independent coffee shop and restaurant overlooking Robin Hood Bay in the small township of Port Rexton on the Bonavista Peninsula. This is our 10th season in business and our reputation grows every year. According to many of our customers we serve the best espresso coffees on the island - we feel it is a combination of great beans (from Jumping Bean in St John's), our espresso machine, skill, our well water and a bit of Two Whales magic! We serve a range of premium teas and soft drinks including our special homemade organic lemonade. Part of our philosophy is that we do not serve anything that we will not eat or drink ourselves. We serve delicious, healthy vegetarian food and yummy cakes. We use as much organic and/or locally sourced ingredients as we can, make and bake just about everything ourselves in our own kitchen and take great care in what we do.
