My boyfriend and I were just passing through St. Stephen's on our way home from the States and wanted to have something to eat that wasn't fast food. This was a good spot. We both had the hot turkey sandwiches with fries, vegetables and stuffing and it was pretty good. The gravy definitely didn't taste like it came out of... More

If you want to eat with the locals and enjoy good food at a very reasonable price you should come here. Large menu with homemade pies, how could you go wrong?

Greasy spoon but great prices and quantities and love the 50's atmosphere. Don't know if they are trying to get licensed but that is the only improvement to suggest:-)

Stayed just up the road at the Winsome Inn for Canada Day weekend. We stopped in at this diner late in the evening when mostly everything else was closing up. It is open until 10 on weekends. My hubby has travelled to this area before so was familiar with this restaurant but it was a first visit for our daughter... More

We stopped here last year on our travels thru New Brunswick to Maine and found ourselves having to return. Entering Carman's feels like a step back in time to an older, simpler era. Food is plentiful, simply prepared, relatively inexpensive and very tasty. (Haven't yet had room to try dessert!) The staff is friendly, quick to acknowledge you, and efficiently... More

This is yet another greasy spoon in the Maritimes, serving (you guessed it) an assortment of deep fried seafood, greasy burgers, and other greasy foods. If you're in the mood for a greasy spoon special with portions sizes that leave you unbuckling your pants, this is the place for you.

We are staying the night at the Winsome Hotel and asked for a place that could to take out with a choice of broiled seafood opposed to just fried. The lady at the Winsome hotel suggested we go to Carman's and glad we did. Friendly greetings. The diner had sort of a baby boomer generation appeal. ( which I am).... More

Very clean diner. Waitress was very efficient and helpful. Our food was great, Club platter and fish and chips, nothing fancy but was very good. Have eaten there before and will return.

We decided to check this place out for lunch and loved it. The staff were very fast and service was excellent. There was no waiting around. Food was well worth the money and portions were large! Will definitely come back

This place is a right proper greasy spoon. Good prices and good food. I ordered a hotdog with bacon and cheese, along with some mozza sticks. The hotdog bun was buttered and toasted up which was AMAZING. The mozza sticks were good though I prefer sour cream to the ranch I got with them. My bf got a cheeseburger, which... More
