I love places like this, an old fashion diner that has stood the test of time. Carmans' has great food, great service and they still have juke boxes at every booth. We arrived around 1:00 for lunch and got the last table - always a good sign. We had the lobster salad plate, everything was fresh and tasty.

Good old fashioned diner food, quick, clean, friendly. This diner has been around for decades and has a great menu.

Arrived late to St. Stephens and Carman's diner was the only available option. The food is ok, typical diner fare. The wait staff was pleasant and helpful. Tried several desserts and they all tasted as if they had dishwasher soap or some chemical. The waitress was very apologetic. Breakfast was ok the next morning.

Fun place. Not fancy but nice retro decor and very good food. Their seafood chowder was excellent...one of the best..loaded with seafood.

50' diner with some of the best seafood chowder we have tasted. Happened upon Carmens at supper time and liked the look. Not fancy but clean and tidy and lots of locals. Always a good sign! We are from PEI so have made and sampled lots of chowder. This one certainly ranks up in the top 2. When even close... More

We have spent 12 summers in St. Andrews but had never eaten at Carman's. We always commented on how we should go there because the parking area was always packed but we just never thought of it when we wondered where to go out to eat. We went on New Brunswick Day and were not disappointed. The very nice waitress... More

I was attracted by the low price but would not order it again. The portions were very very small and the food was just ok. I would not go back. The staff were friendly and the restaurant an ok place.

Small booths with jukeboxes on the table ( that still work ). Their food also works, whether you want a simple breakfast/lunch or some seafood ( eg clam chowder or lobster sandwich ). Great place to stop as you are entering or leaving New Brunswick. Probably the best place St.Stephen has to offer. Note they do not serve alcohol.
