We arrived with a tour to see the Caves. It was about 1:30pm and our guide called ahead on this blustery, cold rainy day. We were told the inside dining room was full and we'd have to eat outside, which would have been terrific on...More

We were herded in for fish chowder. Local flavor but not interesting choice for our lunch received can of pop and 2 cookies. Liked the experience of local flavor but not anything else. Small cramped diner.

This place is very busy with a cafeteria like seating. I found the lobster roll only OK, but the fish and chips were good and so was the seafood chowder.

Stopped by after a storm resulting in no power. Tour bus operator checked with folks inside and said they could only sell cold drinks, nothing hot or food. When we went in, the woman behind the counter was not very nice when we offered to...More

I love the food here but was so disappointed to find the restaurant closed on a day that the website said it was open It is a very long drive to St. Martins to get there and have to turn around.

The caves are a beautiful site from the deck or up close. But get here during low tide. Mostly sea food of course but burgers. Don't let the flies bother you. Food looks good and others have said so. Too early for food for us.

Our taxi cab driver brought us here for lunch after a tour with a promise of the world's best chowder. As promised, the chowder was delicious. However the lobster roll was very skimpy and not worth the money

No, I've never heard of anyone needing a reservation. It can be a busy spot but it can also accommodate a large crowd. Enjoy your visit.

After Thanksgiving, the Caves restaurant is open only when cruises dock in the Saint John harbour. If definitely closes for the season early November (when cruises season ends as well). It re-opens early May.
