We had tea and pastries and sat on the porch overlooking the bay on a beautiful early fall day. The sandwiches looked good, though we were there just for snacks. Friendly owner and nice atmosphere.

Whether you choose the porch or the dining area indoors, this is a great place to eat! The sandwiches, soups, and coffee or tea drinks are made with their own unique recipes. I had a fantastic hot Chai drink, wish I could get it here at home. Their Ham and Cheese sandwich is much more than just a run-of-the-mill version.... More

A fun place to drive over to from Lubec. We got hot chocolate and a dessert, sat in the front porch and watched the water. It's a tradition among our friends and we'll come back next time we are in the reas.

This small but unique roadside café serves great soups and sandwiches made on a grill right in front of you while you wait. Be sure to enjoy a freshly made dessert and relax while you have coffee on the porch to enjoy the great view.

While Jocie's Porch is renowned for their freshly roasted coffee, don't overlook the sandwiches. They are freshly made of wonderful bread and meats. I had ham and swiss on rye and the rye was toasted just right. And there's music by the locals on Friday nights.

Let us keep our Risk game setup to the next morning so we could finish. Great Friday evening fun with local musicians.

You know the coffee is great when he grinds his own beans and his family makes the food. Go! Sit on the porch check your email and be surrounded by a really friendly place. Have a decaf. Be amazed it is just as good. Spend some time with a great view. We love it. And one storm they kept us... More

Heard about Josie's Porch when checking in at the Welcome Center. So glad that it was mentioned. We attended a 'coffee and jam' session. Several locals and tourists singing, playing instruments and one gentleman who had some very funny clean jokes. The food was good but the atmosphere created by the hosts even better. We went back 2 more times!... More

Jocie's came highly recommended and for good reason. Robust sandwiches made with homemade breads, excellant selection of great coffees and teas, and desserts to die for. The lemon squares are melt in your mouth fabulous. Angela was 'you're right at home friendly' and happy to chat and full of information about the island. Lovely view of Friar's Bay from her... More

Tucked back off the road along Friar's Bay, is a quaint building with a steel roof, and cedar shakes as siding. Also an inviting 70 foot long front porch with swings, Adirondack chairs, and flowers. From the porch you can enjoy sea life such as Whales, Seals, Gulls, Ducks, and other sea creatures. Relax and enjoy your stay, grab a puzzle or one of our many board games.
