Seafood was delicious. My favourite was the lobster and shrimp dip. The bread they served with it was awesome. The waitresses were so friendly and attentive. The food was a wee bit pricey but we are finding that everywhere in the maritime.

Had a totally awesome lunch overlooking the Bay. Very sunny and bright surroundings with ubiquitous flies that were bothersome but unavoidable in the docks area. Salads and sandwiches were large, tasty and well presented. Staff was friendly and attentive. The dining room did not open for lunch until Noon (on the dot).

Menu selection was limited and pricey. Order of food delivery was reversed, as we received our two appetizers after we were served our main course. We found that a bit odd. That said, the food was good, but a bit over-priced.

Tides is a busy place in Alma but worth the wait. While not cheap, we opted for the lobster and it was first rate. The lobsters were big (1.5 lbs) and came with the main parts cracked which made it easier to get at the meat. The lobster was perfectly prepared and who doesn't like clarified butter. Service was quick... More

When you order the halibut and find out it was caught that morning by a local fisherman who's boat is tied up by the pier you are looking at..well you cannot get any fresher fish than that. ! Meals were delicious.

For me, the jury is still out from my experience of having dinner here. I am not sure if I will patronize this restaurant again if I am in the area. The location in the heart of Alma makes this restaurant an easy choice. The windows were a joy both because of the view of the sea and the clever... More

My husband and I spent two nights in Alma NB to explore Fundy. We were hungry and wanted a place we could walk to from our motel. The Tides more than fit the bill. We did not have a reservation but we still got seated with an ocean view. While waiting for our dinner I took a walk and explored... More

You can look out of the restaurant window and see whether the tide is in or out. On the windows you can watch the energetic activities of the hummingbirds by their feeders. We ate in the restaurants both nights. The first night we had blueberry salad followed by chicken jacket potato and greens, and on the second night we had... More

The service was so and so but well located. The food is okay but maybe because I'm turned off with the service.

Nice selection, but a lot of fried food choices. I wanted lighter meal so did cup of chowder, quite nice...and bacon wrapped scallops, which were excellent. Fiend had fried platter and was ok.

Thank demlad
