The food is well prepared. The owners a little excenric and sometimes need to pay attention to the chefs attire. Delightful people. They do pay attention to you . Worth visiting and sampling the food.

No more fine dining....great burgers....chicken or homemade burgers or awesome salmon fillet burger...smokiness and hot dogs too....milkshakes are back too. Mac and cheese...assorted salads coming soon... Potato...coleslaw...bean...fruit salad as well with cottage cheese..prime rib...fish... More

Our Prime Rib Dinner was cooked to perfection. It was so reasonably priced. More than half the price of an equivalent meal in Winnipeg. Definitely worth the drive. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely drive and 1st class dinning experience in beautiful Gimli Manitoba to stop in and try out a meal at the Whitecaps Restaurant. You will... More

We stopped in for lunch and had the special ... salad bar, stuffed pepper, perogies, sausage and sauerkraut. What an amazing meal. People across from us ordered a pizza and it looked so good. Family run restaurant, very quaint, will definitely go back.

Home cooked food at excellent value. The pizza is so tasty. Best breakfast price in gimli. The menu is always changing to give great choices.

Whitecaps has a warm and cozy, somewhat dated atmosphere that is certainly comfortable. We were warmly greeted by Jazz and promptly seated. Our dinner arrived in a timely fashion and both entrees were very good. My wife had the Lobster Tail and thoroughly enjoyed it and I the Prime Rib which was excellent. It was served with an accompaniment of... More

The food is decent, the service is OK, the atmosphere is old and definitely not fancy. The portion sizes were great and this time we were there with a really large group and they had no problem accommodating us, even with a special limited menu.

Upon entering the restaurant at 5:30pm, we were told to go to the back where there weren't any lights on. We sat our children down and the waitress came over and turned the lights on and let us know there was a buffet going but it wasn't ready. We waited for the rest of our group and when they arrived... I have gone to this restaurant many times when the owner`s parents ran it and I loved it. I came in with my husband who is a minority along with my 2 young grand daughters. There were only 2 people in the restaurant. Gruff male owner told us we couldn`t sit in the front part and told us to sit in... More

We were so excited about our experience. The food was all homemade and fresh. We will definitely come back with many people. The server Jazz was so pleasant and very professional. Her husband Bill was a pleasure to talk to. What a nice couple they make. See you soon.
