The beauty of a small villager atmosphere is you can take in all the places to be. Powder Hounds would be one of them, live music good food and drinks. It was very busy and loud but we really enjoyed ourselves!

Powder Hounds rated highly on Trip Advisor and I'm pleased to say our experience confirmed this. Food was good and service even better. We visited on a Saturday night and it had a real buzz going, packed with visitors and locals. Warm, friendly, vibrant and popular so make sure you book in advance. We were a party of four from... Very nice place, good menu , their specialty is the schnitzel, and it is really good, bar is very good, wait staff are not teeny boppers, which is good as it matches the clientele ager group very well, it is very popular so wise to book.

We can't say enough about our experience - the wait staff were attentive to our table for 2 when the restaurant was packed with large parties. The menu had a large selection to choose from - the schnitzel was excellent - large portions and very tasty. You should make a reservation as the restaurant is always busy and space is... More

When we "go out" at Sun Peaks, this is one of our go-to's. It's got a good atmosphere and the food is always excellent. The owner is always pleasant and goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are reflective of the food, meaning they are good for that food that you receive.

This is the oldest restaurant at SP and still one of the most popular. Great ambiance. Great service. And the best part... the schnitzel! Warning - the portions are large. Come to think of it, that's more a benefit than a warning.

We ate at Powderhounds 2 years ago and it was a memorable night, both for the service and the meal. We returned during our visit to Sunpeaks, twice and on both occasions we felt the standard had dropped. Most disappointing was the Beef Stroganoff which was clearly reheated and could have done with another few minutes, and the Salmon was... More

Came to this place on a Sunday night, we were told they had a bigger group that day so no more walk ins... shame it was only 6pm that time. Thats where they lost the 5/5 dot from me on Trip Advisor. Came here the next night, I got the Hunter Schnitzel at the early bird special @ $18.95. One... More

Tucked around the corner from main village square lies this gem. Staffed by energetic (real) locals who have all been there for years. Their love for the restaurant shows and the owner is genial host. Great value meals executed well will keep everyone happy. Interesting wine list at fair value. A winner

We shared a very good house salad & followed with Hunter's Schnitzel which came with a creamy mushroom sauce, red cabbage & spaetzle. Very nicely cooked but come with an appetite - servings are large! Lovely friendly waitress. Good choice of draft beers.
