And the food is gourmet here. I've had several items on the menu and never been disappointed. The kitchen uses lots of locally grown meat and veggies and the quality is quite pleasing. It's a very neat decor, clean and attractive. The beer selections seemed to me to be diverse and suiting to many tastes. A great find for a... More

Excellent atmosphere , what a place to celebrate the New Year ! The mussels were tasty , crisp mozza sticks and calamari was exceptional as many of the appertizers ! The schnitzel was a bit dry but Great service overall . We'd go again.

I was with a large group at the same time another group of 6 arrived. The waitress handled both groups really well. Would not recommend the bar drinks. My dirty martini was not very good and the cosmo my friend had was super sweet. However, my French country Chicken entree was delicious. My friend's quesidilla was not really up to... More

We had dinner at here at 9:30, when almost all restaurants in Smithers are closed. It's a nice bar, but not a good restaurant. I had the Turkey Burger, the general flavour was the pickles on the burger. Burgers at White Spot are better and a bit cheaper. My daughter had the Gnocchi, served in a mushroom sauce that I... My beef brisket was good, but the mushroom soup stole the show. It was more like steak and mushroom soup.

Some of the dishes were really good, some not so much. Most were very salty, though to some extent that is to be expected of pub food. You can certainly count on the plates being big enough and not too expensive. Unfortunately, the place appeared a little understaffed and in spite of our server's efforts, the service did suffer because... More

This was our second brunch at the Alpenhorn Bistro. We ate on the patio, which was a bit cool. I ordered an Eggs Benny with prosciutto ad tomato salsa. Eggs were cooked perfectly, prosciutto not crisp but tasty, Hollandaise mid-range. The sides were nugget potatoes (some were a little under cooked) and ratatouille, which was rather underwhelming and a weird... More
