We were looking for a quick lunch and had eaten here 7 years ago....so we went back. It was okay. Sandwiches are a bit pricey. The daily soup special was roasted tomatoe with basil and feta, it was nice. Pulled pork sandwich was mediocre. We sat outside which was nice.

I've been going to the Alpenhorn for about 17 or 18 years, under various owners. Always liked it; good environment, friendly, good beer, and usually good food. Especially when Heidi Alley owned it, several years ago. Anyway, my most recent visit was a bit of a let-down. Good service, good beer, but the dinner disappointed. I had the chicken and... More

On arrival the waitress informed us of the drinks on special today and we went with her recommendations - a raspberry sangria for myself and a huge beer for my husband. Both were good value for money. We continued on the specials theme and both had the schnitzel which came with a free soup or salad to start and a... More

As I was in town for a few days, I had a chance to eat here a couple of times. Great, quick friendly service and food was all good. Will definitely go back. The only downside I would add, early closing hours during the week days. We were at a convention, and everyone was heading there only to find it... More

I've now been here twice while visiting friends in Smithers. The first time we went for drinks and sat at the bar. I remember them having a decent selection of beers on tap and the service was good. The second time around we went for a late lunch. My pulled pork poutine was great - plenty of pork and quite... More

This restaurant and bar is a great place to unwide after a long drive. We arrived on a Wednesday which was Wing Night. The place was filled to the rafters with locals and tourists alike. Laughter from various tables rang out and the staff was busy bringing food and drink to the patrons. I had a steak salad which was... More
