We go regularly and have always enjoyed the experience. The seafood items and prime rib are always delicious, and we’ve really enjoyed everything else on the menu that we’ve tried. The staff are friendly and if you’re able to snag a window seat the view...out over the ocean is beautiful.More
This place blew my mind with the quality of the food. I had bison meatloaf and omg what a meal. The server asked if I was hungry and as I responded Yes I was told I had made the right choice. The gravy was beyond...good and it was quite filling. The prices are a bit high but considering the location and quality I will not complain. The servers were polite and had a pleasant charm. The view was wonderful even though we sat in a booth away from the windows we still could see out to the beautiful water. I highly recommend dining here, next time I'll try one of their sea food dishes.More
I grew up in Sechelt and I've been to Pebbles many times over the years. It used to be a go-to for family dinners with my grandparents. But there has been a weird declining in food quality as of late. The mashed potatoes taste like...they were made with dishwater and somehow one of our party always has their food forgotten or completely wrong. (There are 5 of us) We kept trying to go back because of the great view and long history for us but the food and service quality is just too poor.More
While on vacation with the family in Sechelt we decided to check Pebbles out as we are from the prairies and we enjoy watching the ocean. The food was ok but the server did seem to be the only one on as there was no...one busing tables and only her serving. I found it really disappointing when she accepted payment from two elderly women who after they had done their payment asked what normal tip was. The server proceeded to tell them that she tips anywhere from 20-30% and how she has to give 3% to the kitchen. I found this to be very unprofessional. Never really heard of anyone tipping 30% unless service is exceptional. I really felt she was trying to take advantage of these elderly women.More
Do not eat here! Terse server slammed glasses of water down on our table, fingers all over the rims where we hoped to drink. Dirty paper menus. Greasy, overcooked & over priced food! Too bad especially since the view and location are super. Neither my...visiting guests nor I will return or recommend the place.More
When visiting the Sunshine Coast Pebbles was one of our favorite Lunch spots.
But over the last few months the restaurant has undergone management changes and the changes are note for the better. photo copied Menus and a smaller selection of food is just the...first change. The cutlery is almost plastic in feel. My Husbands burger was so over cooked he couldn't cut it with a knife. My Grilled Chicken had been poached to such an extreme there was no flavour at all. In the past if you were there after 11 30 it was almost impossible to get one of the prime tables now the place is deserted at 11:30 AM. Such a shame that this pretty little spot has gone downhill so quicklyMore
One of the most disappointing, inedible meals I have ever been served. We both ordered the' $25 Special Sunday Prime Rib Roast' dinner and had the same experience. The meal consisted of 1/2" thick slice of meat that was unrecognizable as prime rib, nowhere close...to 8 oz advertised, and so tough and filled with hard gristle that after I picked it over, half was left on my plate. The potatoes were barely warm. There was a drizzle of juice over the meat and no gravy for the potatoes & Yorkshire pudding. The strange meat coloring left us wondering if a 'rare' slice was placed in the microwave for several seconds to cook it to medium. As we were leaving, the server was dealing with another upset customer over the meal he was served. Another table was told 2 of the choices they had requested were not available. We have had many nice breakfasts and bowls of chowder at the restaurant over the years but I will never go there for dinner again.More
