Tia's seems to be the go to place for breakfast. Its fairly busy for both breakfast and lunch. Prices are reasonable. The food however seems thrown together with no thought or effort put into making it good. Maybe because there is no competition. The service is slow but our server was polite and did her job. Some other staff were... More

Big meals, well priced, but average food. Service is friendly and efficient. Omelettes are a bit average. If you want a big meal go with something with French toast.

Stopped in because the place was packed although we waited 45 min because it was so busy. Food was excellent, coffee was good and hot, but it was your average breakfast. If you want a place the locals eat, this is it.

Best French toast ever - some secret ingredient. Inexpensive, relaxed, decent food. You can even just sit and have a coffee (nothing special) enroute from one place to another.

Myself and two friends checked out this small-town gem on Friday, May 13th, for breakfast prior to hiking Cape Scott Provincial Park. Our waiter was a charming, red-haired and bearded beauty who was seemingly shocked that three souls wandered into this dormant eatery for an early morning meal. The other two in the group played it safe and ordered bacon... More

We stopped here for breakfast while passing thru to Courtenay. We were attracted to it because of it's latin sounding name. We were very disappointed with service and food. It was also very expensive. Save yourself the money and don't stop here for breaky.

Had the Huevos Rancheros. (Picked that because I love Mexican food.) It was probably the worst breakfast I have had in my entire life. Two factory-made hash brown patties topped with two eggs, cold commercially produced salsa, and cold commercially shredded cheese. Accompanied by another huge plate of tasteless hash browns. The chorizo was unlike any I've ever had in... More

While traveling in the area, we ate here several times because they had free wifi, which is a bit of a big deal in that area. The food was generally served incorrectly, and they were ridiculous about the breakfast deadline. Staff was pretty nice but don't go expecting quality service.

TIA"S doesn't look like a wonderful eatery, but the food belies it's location! It was really and interesting place to go and it's a good thing I was warned about the amount of food you'd get for your money! I split a wonderful Mexican dish that was JUST right in the hot department ( though I added some Tabasco cause... More
