We wanted a quite spot to have lunch. Evelyn's was a good choice. The decor was a pleasant step back. Good sandwiches and a wonderful piece of Blueberry pie. Will certainly return we are out that way. Will probably be that way on purpose.

We stopped in for lunch after driving by and were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. There was something for all of us on the menu & the jukebox was a highlight for the kids (who had to be school on what exactly it was). The Banana split sundae was delicious and perfect size for the four of us... More

Stopped in for late lunch on Saturday. I had Turkey croissant and broccoli salad. Both were fabulous. My husband had Rueben sandwich with mushroom soup. Sandwich was great, but he said soup was the BEST he had ever had. Homemade ice cream cone topped off the meal and was rich and creamy

Took a road trip to High River and visited Evelyn's. There was a table for us but the next ones through the door sat at the counter. A group of young adults from the city. The place was full. People kept coming. And I had never heard of this place before!!! I had a bowl of chicken soup. Oh man... More

My boys love trips to Evelyn's and I get to use it as a reward without guilt on my part. Gluten free breads, hearty fillings, and old fashion sodas round out this old time classic. Now how to explain to a generation what a jute box is and how it worked!

Great little place with a very well done 1950's decor. Red vinyl round seats at the counter, booths, single juke boxes at each booth... home made food and desserts and icecream, all of a very nice quality. WELL worth the visit. Plus the town is just so cute. Great for a walk. Idea: Grab some stuff and head out the... More

It was advertised on TA that they are open till 7pm. However, we arrived a few minutes before 4pm and they were closing and could not serve us. There were no signs to indicate the early closing. Frustrating and disappointing to drive out early and find it closed! Seems like a nice place, old fashioned style eatery with cute booths.
