Hawaii restaurant is sometimes mistaken for fine dinning we never say we are a fine dinning restaurant we do fantastic food, from a great special offer menu with around 22 different meals ranging from 3 euros to 8 euros with a free drink, besides that menu we are really well known for our fantastic steaks which a lot of people consider to be the best in sunny beach , we also have traditional Bulgarian food, large pork and chicken skewers and a huge fish menu we are a restaurant for any time of the day and any type of customer no matter what your looking for I'm sure you will not be disappointed

The home of great cuisine & service to match !!!

We had dinner at the Hawaii restaurant one night in are 15 night holiday in Sunny beach. It’s on the promenade & right in front of the Clarus hotel. It’s not a fine priced or eating restaurant, in fact the prices are very reasonable for the standard of cuisine & service to match. I had steak & my wife had pizza & they were both hot & very well cooked, which is something a lot of hotel restaurants find hard to achieve for some reason & the beer & wine were well priced as well & it’s well worth a visit for lunch or dinner if your in sunny beach. I’ll be back.

My meal was served in a black bowl on a skillet and was still burning throughout the meal. I had chicken, bacon , potatoes, some vegetables in a creamy cheese sauce. The other meal was a Bulgarian meat dish with chicken sun dried tomatoes in a cream sauce, roasted potatoes coated with rosemary and salt. Lovely and filling and very tasty.

Best full English in sunny beach. Lovely bacon and sausages, huge breakfast! They also have brown sauce. Bonus! We’ve been here many times over the 10 years we have visited sunny beach and the service and food have always been brilliant.

There were 9 of us who ordered food, 2 of us got it long before the others and the last two didn't get their food until everyone had finished eating. The last of the 2 had to wait 1.5 hours before a pizza was served. When we had to pay it also took a long time and we then received a complaint for giving too little tip. (We didn't feel that much of a tip was in order when the food was late, undistributed and tasteless) When we were about to leave, one of the waitresses walked past us and ushered us out and said bye bye bye bye bye bye....

Me and my friend had the worst experience here. Let’s start with the positives, my meal was perfectly fine and the pizza was good, however that was the only good part about it. My friend ordered the shrimp tagliatelle (see photos for the menu description). When it arrived it was missing the tomato sauce, pesto and blue cheese, it was literally plain pasta with cheese and cream and a few tiny shrimp. She complained and was told a new one would be made including everything stated on the menu. Not even five minutes later she received exactly the same dish, with a tiny amount of extra pesto, but a new one had clearly not been made and it was still missing the majority of the ingredients listed on the menu, and was so bland and disgusting that she could not stomach more than a mouthful. Our server Toni then came over and asked if it was okay, when we said it wasn’t she just walked off and sent her colleague Slavi to talk to us. We explained what had happened and he rudely just shrugged and walked off, offering no solutions to the problem. We asked for the bill and said my friend would pay half but not the entire thing as it had been falsely advertised and she had eaten one bite. Slavi laughed at us and said there was no way we could pay half as she had the meal ‘cooked twice’ which was clearly untrue. When he came back with the card machine we said we would not pay full price again and he told us we had to and that they had done nothing wrong. They advertised a completely different dish to what was served and the waiters named in this could not have been any less helpful, we left feeling angry and embarrassed, as they caused a scene and we even heard Toni loudly call my friend a bitch in bulgarian (Kurva), which is extremely unprofessional and embarrassing when said loud enough for the whole restaurant to hear. I would not recommend eating here whatsoever and I am disgusted at the treatment we received, please see the photos to see what was advertised and what we received. Be very careful if you do risk eating here, and I wish you luck if you do have any issues with the food!!

The staff were lovely, my partner ordered the T-bone steak and requested it was BEEF ( which he shouldn’t of had to do) when it arrived it looked nice, after taking a bite it was pork. He specifically asked for a beef T-bone steak. The chips were also frozen on the inside.

Raw fish and slimmy batter

Ordered 3 meals Irish stew was nice. Cottage pie was ok. Beer battered fish was raw batter slimmy fish slimmy totally put me off they offered me a new one but was so put off I refused. When the bill came they charged me for fish when I said no they got offensive and rude so I payed as had my grandaughter with me and she was worried. Absolutely disgusting behaviour

Over rated, over priced, poor service

Highly over rated in my opinion, much better places to eat at for much cheaper. When we were seated we were told it would be a 15 minute wait for food once we ordered. Sat for 20 minutes before a waiter came to see us then another 35 minutes wait for the food. Drinks did come farily quickly in fairness. I ordered a pulled pork “burger” to which there was no burger in sight but just pulled pork on a bun, did question this with a rude and abrupt waiter, staff arguing amongst themselves in front of customers. Others have obviously had a better experience but for us we will never return!

the food in here was so good and affordable. we came here a few times during our stay because we couldn’t fault it and you got so much for what you paid for. we ordered a specialty hawaii which says a meal for two but we couldn’t even eat it between three adults. it matched any persons needs for food no matter what you fancy and i had the best steak i have ever had.

We decided to have a break from our hotel and walked along the main strip in Sunny Beach. This restaurant looked quite lively with a fair number of people in there already so we took a chance. They also did a 2 for 1 cocktail offer if you both had the same cocktail. Wish we hadn’t bothered. Ordered 2 Long Island Iced Teas - so weak you couldn’t taste any alcohol despite there being 4+ shots !! Food was poorly cooked and presented and overpriced for what we got. A rack of pork ribs cut across the bone and full of gristle. Chicken Fajitas served ready wrapped - basically 2 tortillas filled with chicken, onions, carrots and gravy!! Not a sign of a pepper of any colour, no guacamole or sour cream. Chips were okay. For what we had everything was overpriced. We were still hungry when we left. There are surely much better eateries than this in Sunny Beach.

Absolutely decent food and a relatively good atmosphere. We ordered pizza and lemonade which was good. It went perfectly fine until we got the bill. We asked for the bill and waited and waited. Our waiter was doing a lot of different things around us, and it was difficult to get in touch with him. I tried to get in touch but was ignored. The next time I tried to ask for the bill again he sort of shushed me and left, then he came a little later and said "one minute". And a little later he brought the bill. It became a slightly stressful atmosphere eventually, and not good enough food or service for me to have the energy to go again. We found the restaurant Euphoria a little further away to be better, so rather go there if it is between the two.

Good place to eat

Had a few people recommend this place and so we went to try one evening. It may be a sunny beach thing but the staff trying to convince you to eat there are always extremely friendly and that’s where it ends. We found the food lovely. The kids meals are more than enough but the staff seemed so abrupt and uninterested if you wanted another drink etc. On paying I had an issue with my card for some reason and so needed to use another card and I thought the waiter was going to kill me. My husband had taken my kids to the toilet and had the other card so I apologised but this wasn’t enough and he stormed off. We were then made to wait a long time to pay which I felt was on purpose, when I went to the till I was shoo’d away and told to go and wait. After we paid my husband checked the receipt as normal so we could see the Lev to pounds but the waiter clearly took issue and questioned what’s the issue? Any problems? What’s wrong? We just felt a little sour from what had been a lonely meal. Then again everyone has a bad day and maybe any other time this wouldn’t have happened.

AVOID! Staff rude especially Toni

I came here 3 weeks ago & again tonight. I had the same waitress (Toni) as I did 3 weeks ago. Last time She was arrogant, but I let it go because everyone can have a bad day but she was even worse tonight!! Very argumentative, angry and impatient! I specifically ordered repeatedly ( because her English understanding is not good) the wine, sprite, Fanta and beer that goes free with the meal, she brought us a pint of beer & bottles of sprite & Fanta & charged extra. When I explained that I asked her for the ones that go free with the meal she argued with me instead of apologising. There was NO entertainment.The food was not as good as my previous two visits which made the decision to eat here the worst I made this holiday and wont be returning again!! I noticed around me that other members of staff were also abrupt with other customers. Spend that little bit more and go eat at any of the large number of restaurants on the promenade, receive better quality food and a hell of a lot better customer service guarrenteed !!

Sobska salad only good at the restaurant. The rest was tasteless the meat was cool and was meaningless. The waiter seemed angry and was not so much around us. We thought it was because it was family friendly. But a little boy of two years was the only one who didn't get his food. Which was a pizza. The family did not dare to say anything, but 15 minutes later the little boy first got his pizza. Very bad service

I read good reviews so ordered fish and chips. It came in two pieces, first one was white, but the other pink and dark brown colored and very dry and rubbery. I then complained and waiters reply was,"what do you want me to do about it? ,"and walked off. When he eventually saw I wouldn't eat it he came back and I said to show the chef. After some avoidance he eventually returned and said the chef says there's nothing wrong all fish the same. Absolutely no apology or acceptance of my opinion and no recompense for a ruined dinner. Very bad customer service! I certainly don't recommend Hawaii Restaurant and I've been many many times in the past. I won't return.
