Located on Downtown Fargo's Historic Eighth Street, Nichole's Fine Pastry and Cafe creates small batch baked goods in the European tradition as well as classic American and local favorites. Our wonderful team is passionate about continually bringing you culinary and pastry trends while adding our own touch to the classics. We offer breakfast, lunch, dessert, espresso and more! Right in downtown Fargo is this delightful bakery with restaurant. Bakery items include the usual suspects but these are so well executed. The little cakes are particularly beautiful, Didn’t try them but we sampled a few things. Red velvet cake, a pear tart and the truffles. Have to be millions of calories but all wonderful. Service was great too. If you are in Fargo don’t miss.

We live in Texas and saw Nicole's Fine Pastry on Diners, Drive In's and Dives a couple of years ago. Since then we have used her mailing/delivery service for family, friends and business associates to have yummy treats for the holidays. Nicole will deliver to anywhere you wish and the goodies - especially the Sticky Buns - will arrive fresh and on time. This year, Nicole went over and above and made a special trip to bake her incredible Sticky Buns so they would arrive in time for our family's holiday celebration. Can't recommend her enough. Incredible service and incredible treats!

This place is always a must when we go to Fargo. EVERTHING is so good, except the snickerdoodles. Not enough cinnamon. The frosting is so good, not too sweet and not waxy. I LOVE the thumbprint cookies. I buy 6 dozen and have kept them frozen up to 6 months and they taste fresh and so very good. Pecan bars are amazing as is their fruit tarts, strawberry rhubarb Galette (my favorite!) I wanted to try Kransakake but could not get it. My husband is so picky and he loves this place, as does my best friend and my grandaughter. Coffee is sssssooooo good. If going to Fargo, make the trip downtown if for not other reason than to check out this place. It is worth it!

The "pasta bake" was overly salty and overcooked and dried out. The quiche lorraine was, "okay" but nothing special. It, too, was overly dried out. Both dishes needed to have some butter draped over them (which we did) to moisten them up a bit. It may be that new employees (due to COVID) are the reason for the decline.

While leaving Fargo I swung by Nichole's for lunch. It was located in the downtown among a lot of historical buildings. Nichole's itself was divided into 2 parts. On one side was the pastry counter and the other was the savory side with a small café. There was also al small patio on the side walk. You place your order, find a seat, and they deliver your order to your table. I ordered the sandwich special and found a seat on the patio. I wish I had taken a picture of the menu so I hope I got all the fillings right. The special was a panini with capocollo, salami, provolone cheese, with a olive salad on sourdough bread. The sandwich was outstanding. I am not a great fan of olives, but they nicely balanced out the meats. The meats themselves were nicely sliced, fresh and very tasty. The gooey cheese was the glue for the sandwich. I'm sure the sourdough was baked in house. It was just the right bread for this sandwich and had great panini marks. The chips were crunchy and the pickles seemed home made, and had a nice sour quality to them. They really complimented the sandwich. The pineapple lime iced tea was very refreshing. I was sorely tempted to order from the pastries on display but didn't feel up to driving with a heavy stomach. There is a great chance I will return to Fargo, and I will definitely check out the bakery

Nichole’s is always guaranteed to put a smile on our faces. This place is a good reason to leave Grand Forks and check out the eats and treats made here. Dang Tasty! Nichole’s is easily one of our favorite place to eat when we venture “south” to Fargo. Merci Beaucoup! We’ll be back!

So pleased to be back at Nichole’s! We walked into a busy place for lunch! Great to see that business was hop’n! We found a place to sit and ordered two Turkey, Mozzarella, and Green Apple sandwiches! Loved’em! We also ordered a side of the Quinoa (yeah, I never pronounce it correctly) and a cup of coffee. Everything was very satisfying! I’d be very happy to make the same order again. We are already looking forward to our next trip to Fargo and eat at Nichole’s!

Made an amazing birthday cake. Buttercream frosting wasn’t too sweat and overwhelming, and the sponge layers were very soft! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed eating out cake!
Bonus note: While I was picking up the cake, I grabbed a cinnamon roll. Best decision I could have made - they are amazing!
Service was great and I will be a returning customer!

I had a chicken salad sandwich and a sweet potato salad and they both were good. My server (Julia) had one of the kindest smiles I've ever seen!
The environment was very cozy.
They also use eco-friendly paper straws and that's pretty rare around here!
I ate alone but I think I'll bring a friend next time. The atmosphere is perfect for having a long conversation. I also will be trying one of the tasty looking desserts next time.

We stopped in for breakfast and some desserts for later, the food was pretty tasty and the staff were friendly. The highlight was the lemon tart, it was so good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was they forgot to give us silverware and the breakfast tart I had was a little dry, could have used some type of sauce or if the egg had soft york it would have been better.

We tried a few items and they were all so delicious! I would give 5 stars for the food, but gave a 4 for the extremely slow service.
The croissant was flaky, but soft and flavorful. The lemon bar was tart and sweet with the perfect amount of lemon and crust - one of the very best lemon bars I’ve ever had.
I love crème brûlées and this was absolutely divine. It took the staff way too long to caramelize the top, but regardless, I’d highly recommend this!
I only got one small bite of the peach galette, but family obviously loved it because it was devoured.
Highly recommend this pastry shop!! Fantastic food items that I’d give 5’s all the way around.
I’m not sure why the delay because there were plenty of staff and only one person in front of me. Just seemed a little disorganized. However, staff were friendly.

I went for lunch. I ordered the couscous with chicken and mixed green. The couscous portion size was good and the quality excellent. However, the chicken was rubbery and at best 4 ounces of sliced chicken. I was very disappointed that the chicken wasn’t freshly cooked or at least full-size.
The menu otherwise was extensive with someone for everyone.
I really liked that they had wine. The selection wasn’t bad and the prices were fair for wine by the glass. While I don’t like hybrid grape wine, it was nice to see a couple of North Dakota wines.
Eating outside was nice as the people watching in this part of Fargo can be interesting.
Overall, very good. Could be excellent with some better chicken portions on the salad options. I would also like to see table service as opposed to ordering at the counter because seating is limited. There is no way to hold a table while you stand in line at the counter. I would return.

Nichole's is hands down the best place! When someone asks to meet for coffee it's always the place I want to go. The fruit tarts are my favorite I always get excited when she has them. I've had others in different cities when I've traveled and none compare to hers seriously! My son says her chocolate croissants are amazing too. Everything is so delightful. I can't wait to try the wines on tap!

Stopped here after I landed in Fargo and was not disappointed! Service was top notch, the pastry I went with was fantastic (raspberry galette) and the environment was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!
