We came in January for the Sunday Carvery. For £7.95 we had a really good plateful of food which was hot and well cooked. Unfortunately for some reason they don't have a carvery anymore, so when we visited last Sunday we had the roast beef dinner which cost £10.95. The portion was very generous and we each had 3 thick... More

Found the Brewers Arms travelling south from York and was delighted with the friendly welcome, quality and value of our lunch. Only had a soup and a sandwich but it was so good I have to make a review - soup was hot and tasty and the sandwich was freshly made with thick slices of freshly cooked ham. Would recommend... More

Went here for a drink on a Sunday lunchtime with 8 family members. My husband asked for the Newcastle match to be put on as he and my sons are fans even though the pub was virtually empty except for the manager and 3 of his friends he refused quite rudely saying he was watching the racing needless to say... Attended the Brewer's Arms for a friend's wake. Hot Pork and stuffing sandwiches, jam and cream scones with tea and coffee plus drinks if you wanted. A good venue with a welcoming events room with a beer garden - just right!

I booked five rooms for me and my family to attend a nearby wedding. We had a great stay and were really well looked after. The rooms were large, clean and really well decorated with good bathrooms. We had a meal in the pub on our first night and it was really good, as were our breakfasts each morning. Everyone... More

This is a very attractive pub that has three themed areas that you can enjoy your meals in. All of my party of four found the food well presented and tasted very good. Have used this place before and never been disappointed. There is also a function room for celebrations and weddings.

This has to be one of the most pleasant places in Yorkshire in which to have a meal, just a drink, or even throw a party... and best of all you can even spend the night there afterwards ! I have done all of these, many times, and I have NEVER been disappointed... The food is of an extremely high... More
