WATCH YOUR BILL for mischarges!

WATCH YOUR BILL! Per the menu and our server the Walleye dinner came with sides and the server described them for us. When we received the bill the sides were all added costs (expensive added costs!). Unfortunately we didn't notice until after we left and things weren't adding up. The view was wonderful, the food marginal.

Beautiful Setting for a Nice Casual Lunch

One of the locals recommended this lakeside spot for a nice, casual lunch and we were glad we came. Friendly service and delicious food. I tried the Walleye sandwich and found it moist, tasty, and quite satisfying.

Beautiful Setting for an Enjoyable Casual Lunch

Friendly staff, good portions, and delicious food. This spot was recommended by one of the locals during a short vacation in Devil's Lake. My Walleye Sandwich was moist and tasty. And the lakeside setting was hard to beat.

Poor Service and Unsupportive Owners

We had lunch and dinner there several times while on a fishing trip in late June, 2023. They are extremely understaffed during dinner and as a result service was not very good. For example, we ordered an appetizer at approximately 6:45 pm and received it at 8:10 p.m. We also were told they would cook our catch of the day and then were told that our meal came very late as they would not cook fishing catches from 5 pm to 8 pm. The owner was less than forthcoming even though we asked to speak with her twice before she actually came to our table and talked to us. And, it was interesting watching the owners have dinner in the bar and never seeming to offer any help to their overwhelmed staff. The owners did offer to buy us dinner....the following day!! I'm involved with several restaurants and bars and as an owner, I would be hard pressed to recommend this business to anyone. They are lucky they have a captive audience of visiting tourists and people fishing.

bad service and cold food

We arrived at 6pm was told it would be 30 minute wait we said ok, but after 5 minutes we were took to our table. We had a server that wasn't very pleasant. She took our drink order. It didn't take very long to get our drinks, but that was the last time we saw her for about 25 minutes or longer. The server keep walking past us, but not stopping and taking our order. finally she took our order and our food took till about 7:20 pm and our food was cold. The server came back a while later and asked how our food was, said it was cold she said she gave us a break because we had to wait so long. but when we got the bill they only took off $5.00. The were 4 people that was sitting next to us ordered before us and they got there hamburgers after we got our food and there's was also cold.

Terrible service only getting worse

Terrible service. Waited over 2 1/2 hrs after ordering and still no food. No information on when we would be getting food. Told to "talk to cook". Decided to take our business elsewhere. Seen several others cancel orders or just leave since no food coming out. Seemed pretty quite crowd wise. Now I see why. Not the first time this has happened lately. Be a while before I go back and certainly can't recommend to anyone else either.

A definite restaurant to visit

This amazing restaurant is on the grounds of Woodland resort. We were here for 2 weeks, so to say we tried just about everything on the menu is an accurate statement! The food and service were both way above our expectations!! Fantastic on both accounts! Also, wonderful atmosphere watching the action on the lake and boat launch. Really nice patio outside as well, and a super fun bar if you prefer that atmosphere. Fabulous food, view and service.

Unexpected gem

Driving across the state and needed a break. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the boat launch activity. The walleye fish tacos were delicious. The stop took a bit longer than expected, but it was worth it.

Best view and food in Devils Lake!

This place is our go to! Some of the best food and views in Devils Lake. My kids love swimming in the lake from the sandy beach.

Overly salted walleye

We had the fried Walleye and the fish was unevenly salted/seasoned so that most was extremely salty. We also had the macaroni salad which gave us indigestion that night. This restaurant should be avoided.

Waitresses were Terrible for our party of 16,We waited (2) hrs before we got drinks,it was just a mess. We called in Advance to make Reservations for our party,Nope they Don't do Reservations. Ok,The service was Horrible for the price

Great Stop

Stopped in for a bite and a cool one, Ordered a Burger and some cheese curds. Burger was very good and the cheese curds were excellent. Beer was cold and the service was good. Will stop here again when in town.

Great Food and Atmosphere

Best Prime Rib on Friday nights !! Our son had the Pizza and it was really good. Great menu selection and decent prices. Love the patio to sit and over look the lake, as well as the loungers with fire pits.
