While visiting the South Dakota state capitol, an assistant Supreme Court clerk heard we were traveling north to Bismarck. She enthusiastically recommend we stop at her favorite restaurant, The Toasted Frog. She was so animated, we just had to do it. We were not disappointed. Our server, Kyle, recommended we start with a house specialty, fried cheesy pickles. Now I... More

My husband and I ate here after a shop owner recommend a seafood lavosh. Basically a pizza on a cracker. It was interesting. Good but not fabulous. We are real foodies, so it would take a lot to wow us. We had a house Malbec and it was great. The service was wonderful and very attentive. The menu looked good.... More

We shared several things - the portions were gigantic! The sweet potato fries were fantastic. The fish tacos were kind of bland. The lavosh was too cheesy. The service was top notch and I'll be back to try some more.

Love this place! Excellent food. Excellent service. And the bartenders know how to make a drink/ cocktail. This is one of my favorite dinner places in Bismarck! Great menu (some of my favorites: app-fried cheesy pickles, salad- Caprese, dinner Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola Butter). Worth every penny.

The food is fine--standard bar/pub food with some interesting local selections i.e. elk. We all had sandwiches and salads. They were good but nothing to write home about. The service was about the same; it was a little delayed here and there, and the server was not as attentive as she could have been, but there were no major mistakes.... More

We arrived in Bismark late and needed dinner. The service was great! The waiter seemed very happy to be doing his job!! Told us all about the specials and other menu offerings with a pleasant attitude. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would eat there again if in Bismark!

Food was OK nothing amazing but not terrible. The waitress was friendly but was new and might have done better if some more training had been done. I understand why the rating was on number 13. As an observer i think a little better management would make the place run better and help raise the rating.

Perfect downtown location to enjoy a cocktail with friends, an appetizer with work mates, or fine dining in a bistro setting. Full bar with an eclectic menu of upscale North Dakota offerings. Never quiet but always fun.

We love the chessy pickles, always great. As for meals the seafood Mac and cheese is great but they only make it a few times a year. Other then that the other dinner meals are a little to fancy for me. To many things going on that overwhelm the main ingredient. Also the last time we ate there our waiter... More
