We are a family of 6 and visited once with friends. We will surely come back because for eating out, we got a whole bunch of good food for a good price. I am the type to coupon every resturant but with this one I don't have too. We brought home a bunch of food for a later meal. Our... More

Love the hush puppies and the daily specials. You get a lot for your money, and you can't beat the prices. Can't really go wrong eating here.

We were not disappointed with the food the restaurant had to offer.Service was a bit on the downside.I guess that was because they were swamped.

I went here to get a fried shrimp plate, I had broccoli and coleslaw for the side. The food was cooked perfectly and was delicious.

Husband, friends & I have been to Mayflower several times within the past years, and it's never been great, but the last time we went there, it was really bad. The seafood is the frozen kind from the grocery store....the complete opposite from fresh. And it tastes like cardboard. Save yourself grief & head to the Dixie Queen nearby...it's much... More

I called and ordered a senior fried trout dinner with a baked potato for carryout. The order was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later but there wasn't much on the plate. The young 86 year old the meal was for said it wasn't enough to fill her. My husband gave up on Mayflower a long time ago because... More

The seafood is clearly not from the NC Coast and it's far too salty and overcooked. Too much money for lousy seafood. Try Washington's crab shack or even Dixie Queen, which is locally owned and close to Mayflower.

I use to love eating here. The food doesn't taste like it use to. Then when you order something you get the wrong thing. Then sometimes the food is fried to hard and no toast to it. Then it be cool just rite but no taste. They need to get it together but I would recommend this restaurant.

Though we had a great, attentive waiter, this just was not a good meal. Food was not good, it was served on a super small plate and presented in a pile on the plate, fish had a strong taste, shrimp could have welll come from the frozen food section in the grocery store, french fries were not good .... needless... While visiting in the area from out of town, our arrival was somewhat late to the restaurant. Our arrival was welcomed with no undertones of the hour being late, kinda close to closing. The food was good, hot, plentiful. The whole visit was set with the great service from our waitress. We even had good reception from the Management staff... More
