Service was poor, nosie level was high because of long table for 16 guest who were noisy! Server had a chip on her shoulder and did a poor job of taking care of our table of eight! Food was very pricey and portions were small! Will not go back!

I have been twice - each time with great food, great wine and good service. The filet mignon dish is very good. I've been both times on Tapas Tuesday night, and while I normally get the regular entrees, I did try the brussels sprouts which were delicious and the wine prices you can't beat. We'll be back!

We stopped here for breakfast. Food was excellent due to a good cook. Everything blended well with no overpowering flavors. Prepare to stay a while and it's a bit pricey.

We visited for lunch. Two of our sandwiches and soups, fries were fine. Our friend asked if there were gluten-free offerings and they said 'no.' Friend ordered a pimento cheese sandwich without bread--putting a portion of the filling on the plate was OK. Waitress (owner?) said 'ok.' The dishes arrived; my friend was served a sandwich. When she removed the... More

I am very sorry your friend had a bad experience. It sounds like a series of miscommunications. We always have gluten free options on all of our menus, even if it's not printed as such. We make accommodations for guests as they are presented. Our chefs are very conscious of food allergies and will do whatever that they can to... More

My wife and I were planning on enjoying a nice evening the Thursday before our wedding weekend. A little calm before the storm. We made reservations with 1703 about 2 months prior for this evening. We had never been and heard it was a great place. When we showed up to the restaurant we were shocked to discover that the... More

Dear Mr. Greenwood, I cannot begin to apologize enough for your experience at 1703. We do occasionally book the entire restaurant for private events, which was the case on the night when we inadvertently accepted your reservation. Once I realized that your reservation had been taken on a night when we were already booked, I called the number we had... More

Consistently good with imaginative cuisine. Atmosphere is great with attentive host and wait staff. Great wine list with good wines by the glass as well as bottle prices.

I've been too many times to count and I'm always impressed with the inventiveness of the food, with the service and with the ambience. Excellent choice for lunch or dinner.

I always get a great meal and wonderful service at 1703. Tuesday tapas night is wonderful addition to an already fine menu. Lots of innovative dishes you can't find at any other Winston location. Never had a bad experience here. Love it!

The night for tapas is Tuesday at 1703. The small plates offer myriad selections with some of the most innovative culinary creations Winston-Salem has to offer. There is everything from lamb ribs to okra fries. The service is spot on. It is sad to see empty tables on Tuesday nights with all the small plate offerings and wine is half... More

While I was in town visiting a long-time friend he decided to take me to this spot on a Tuesday. They have this thing going on called Tapa Tuesday. We ordered several plates! Everything we had was delicious!! My favorite was the blondie dessert!! It was really yummy!! I also remember the drinks we had were great too! The ambiance... More
