The first time we went it was a treat from friends and I had the "special of the day" which a chicken and rice dish that was delicious! All of our other friends had the Ribeye with the garlic potatoes and blue cheese on top and they all loved it! We visited again this past weekend and 2 of us... More

The menu offers a small selection of entrees, but the items should appeal to most people. Portion sizes are appropriate (lunch and dinner), and the dishes are creative and tasty! Servers are accommodating and friendly, and even during busy hours the service and food delivery are high quality.

Lunch is not as good as night menu. At night, this is a great place to eat. Have returned several times.

My son recently moved to Winston-Salem and we made our first trip out for a visit. Being from Wisconsin, we wanted to try some true Southern comfort foods and the menu at Sweet Potatoes looked like it fit the bill. We ordered a couple sandwiches, Fried Green Tomato, Lettuce & Bacon and The Turkey Burger with Collard Greens and 3... More

Overall a good experience We met with friends and many had good allergies The menu and staff accommodated all requests The best meals were the appetizers and desert My main course was wonderfully presented but short on flavor Great drinks and gluten free options Expensive

We were on a college visit to Wake Forest Univesity in search of where student might roam off campus. This probably is not the area (it is in the arts area, so maybe that will be a plus for others). We took a spot at the community table and really enjoyed the experience, meeting new travelers and some locals. Food... More

Nice cozy (small) place. Didn't have to wait for a table and we went on a Saturday evening (late). Waiter was super nice, but he was pretty busy flirting with the table of ladies next to us. Had to wait on refills multiple times, but he was great otherwise. Food was amazing! Give it a try.

This is a pretty unique restaurant. As the name implies they specialize in everything sweet potato. The fried chicken was very good and their house sauce on the side adds a nice kick. My only complaint is the biscuits were too dry.

We were taveling and staying in Winston Salem, NC. Others suggested this spot, and we are glad they did. Rainy Friday evening, and the place was packed. An hour wait at least, for the two of us. Or, we were offered two seats at the "Community Table", which we took. I recommend that experienc to anyone. We sat with three... More

I can't recall another time when we went to a restaurant for lunch and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return the same day for dinner. If you enjoy southern food, get to Sweet Potatoes as quick as you can. Every dish we tried, from appetizers to desserts, was outstanding. The pimento cheese appetizer was a hit in... More
